Top Prospects to Watch at the NFL Combine

While top quarterback prospects Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels and wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers won’t participate in on-field workouts at the 2024 NFL Combine, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a plethora of playmakers to enjoy during the week of action from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Watch out for the quarterback quartet of Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix, J.J. McCarthy, and Spencer Rattler to battle for “best of the rest” between a consensus top-three QBs of Williams, Daniels, and North Carolina’s Drake Maye — who at the time of writing hadn’t confirmed whether he’ll throw at the 2024 NFL Combine.

Offensive stars of the 2024 NFL Draft in action include Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers, considered one of the best players at his position ever to enter the NFL. In a much-discussed RB class, watch for FSU’s Trey Benson, Michigan’s Blake Corum, Notre Dame’s Audric Estime, Oregon’s Bucky Irving, and feel old with the appearance of Frank Gore Jr.

Defensively, there’s a rich tapestry of big names from the top program’s in the country — like Alabama CB duo Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold or 18 players from the national champion Michigan Wolverines — to small school standouts like dynamic Toledo Rockets cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Laiatu Latu, Jared Verse, and Dallas Turner lead the pass rush group.
