Zachariah Branch, the dynamic Georgia Bulldogs receiver and former USC Trojans standout, took center stage at the NFL Scouting Combine inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Though he measured in under 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, Branch erased any concerns about size with a burst and acceleration that consistently jumped off the field.
Zachariah Branch’s Scouting Report and NFL Draft Projection
Directly from the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator, here’s the scouting report on Branch:
Introducing him, “Zachariah Branch entered his junior year at Georgia after transferring from USC, where he showcased electrifying athleticism and flashed greatness as a pass catcher.”
Talking about his athletic stature, “At 5’10”, 180 pounds, Branch boasts game-breaking speed, as he showed in high school while winning state titles in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and long jump. He’s an ultra-dynamic return presence with a future as a special teams weapon, but the 2025 season saw him take a noticeable leap in development as a WR.”
Analyzing Branch’s current situation, “Branch remains relatively raw as an intermediate separator, but his rare burst and open-field talent give him unguardable upside if he can continue refining his craft. In spite of his size, he’s a tough and steely convertor at the catch point, with exceptional body control and focus, and he logged the third-highest PFSN CFB WR Impact score in the entire nation, with a score of 85.6.”
Summing it up, “Branch will have value right away as a potentially devastating weapon on designed touches and as a return man, and his quickness, speed, and recalibrative athleticism underscore additional upside as a route runner and vertical threat.”
In a recent 7-round mock draft by PFSN’s Ian Cummings, Branch was slotted as the No. 74 overall pick to the Kansas City Chiefs, adding more speed and dynamism to their offense.
“Zachariah Branch is a not-at-all-surprising NFL Combine darling, whose raw athletic talent has been anticipated since his high school days. For Kansas City, he’s a RAC and designed touch weapon first, but he quietly has excellent catch-point composure and route-running upside,” Cummings wrote.
In the 2025 season, Branch, in his only season with Georgia, caught 81 passes for 811Â yards and six touchdowns. In his previous two seasons at USC, he caught a combined 78 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
Branch’s NFL Combine Results and Measurements

Unfortunately, Austin’s NFL career didn’t go exactly as planned. Across nine years, he played for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He caught 244 passes for 2,239 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also recorded 1,361 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
As a punt returner, he racked up 1,483 yards and three touchdowns.
