The 2025 NFL season is here, and with it comes the trials and tribulations of fantasy football. With the football calendar heating up, our rankings team has compiled its complete rankings to help you make informed decisions.
Top Players to Target in PFSN’s 2025 Redraft Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings
Harrison Mevis, Los Angeles Rams (at ARI)
Sean McVay’s general aggressiveness on fourth down lowers Harrison Mevis’ upside. But the reality is the entire NFL goes for it more on fourth down than in the past. That’s just something we have to deal with now.
The more important factor is the matchup. The Rams are coming off a rough loss to the Panthers. They will be looking to rebound against a Cardinals team playing out a lost season.
Arizona does not have a particularly good defense, but it’s not a total pushover. That’s the exact type of matchup we want to target. It’s part of the reason the Cardinals allow the fourth-most fantasy points per game to kickers.
Mevis just joined the Rams a month ago and has now replaced Joshua Karty after a slew of misses. Since being signed, the Thiccer Kicker, as he is known, has not missed a kick. He’s made both of his field goals and all 17 of his extra points. Ideally, we’d like to see him attempt more field goals, but that is more variance than anything else. The Rams will not continue to finish drives at such a high rate, making Mevis a good streaming option this week.
Chase McLaughlin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. NO)
Something is wrong with Baker Mayfield. It’s not just the shoulder injury he played through last week. The Bucs QB has been missing open receivers high all season. They’re probably still winning this division and making the playoffs, but if they don’t get it figured out, they will be one and done.
For now, the issues with Mayfield and the Bucs offense serve to benefit Chase McLaughlin. Their inability to finish drives leads to more field goal opportunities. McLaughlin has has made 22 of 26 field goals this season and hasn’t missed an extra point since Week 1.
The Bucs are home against a Saints defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to kickers. It’s a great spot for a good kicker on an offense that should be in scoring position a lot, but not always able to punch it in the end zone.

FAQ
Should You Stream Kickers Weekly in Fantasy Football?
Streaming kickers weekly is a solid approach in fantasy football, as kicker scoring is unpredictable and the gap between the top and average performers is minimal. Rather than committing to one kicker for the season, targeting available players with favorable matchups, such as teams with high projected point totals, strong offenses, and favorable game conditions, often yields better returns and lets you maximize your roster flexibility. While accurate projections and matchup research are required, streaming lets you adapt week-to-week and squeeze the most points from a volatile position
