Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Analysis by Kyle Soppe | Goff posted an impressive 23:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio a year ago in home games, and through four weeks, his top two fantasy games have come at home. He faces a winless Panthers team at home this week that ranks among the worst tackling defenses in the league through one month.
The floor/ceiling combination at home in this matchup would be enough to land Goff a spot comfortably inside the top 15 in any week, but with Deshaun Watson, Justin Herbert, and Geno Smith all on bye, Goff slides into the top 10 at the position for Week 5.
Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
Analysis by Kyle Soppe | With Aidan O’Connell under center last week, Meyers saw just 10.5% of the targets come his way. But with a long week for Jimmy Garoppolo to clear concussion protocol, it seems likely that he will be under center on Monday night against the Packers.
Meyers missed Week 2 with a concussion, but in his two games with Garoppolo this season, he has earned 31.4% of the targets (at least 10 in both games) and has shown strong chemistry with his quarterback. The Packers were lit up by the Lions in Week 4 and are a defense that the Raiders should be able to move the ball against. Meyers is a top-30 receiver entering Week 5 and should be started in all standard-sized leagues.
PFN’s fantasy football rankings are a consensus of our Fantasy Football Director, Kyle Yates, and analysts Kyle Soppe, Derek Tate, and Jason Katz. Combined, they have more than three decades of fantasy football experience. Katz and Soppe are also members of the FSWA.
The four analysts individually rank the top 400 players, including defense and kickers, for the 2023 season. An average of the four rankings is then taken for each player to decide where they rank overall.
