What Are the NFL League Standings?

The NFL league standings combine the teams from both NFL conferences in one combined table. You’re able to see how each team stacks up against every other team in the NFL. The table contains information on wins, losses, ties, and win percentage, as well as points for and points against.

The tables are updated throughout the season, so you can see which teams are in playoff contention and have already clinched a spot in the postseason. They also show the teams that have been eliminated from playoff contention and are now looking ahead to the NFL Draft.

What Are the 2 Conferences?

The two conferences in the NFL are the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The conferences split the 32 NFL teams in half, with each conference containing 16 teams split across four divisions.

What Are the 8 Divisions?

There are eight divisions in the NFL, with four in each conference. Each division is decided geographically. In the AFC, they are the AFC East, AFC North, AFC South, and AFC West. The divisions in the NFC are geographically identical with the NFC East, NFC North, NFC South, and NFC West.

Each division consists of four teams and involves some history and bitter rivalries. Teams play teams in their division twice a year, once at home and once away, leading to epic matchups and some of the most anticipated fixtures on each team’s schedule, given their fierce rivalries. The winner of each division gets an automatic spot in the NFL playoffs, with the remaining teams left fighting it out for a Wild Card spot.

NFC North: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings
