The Denver Broncos are one win away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC Conference. It helps the Broncos that the Los Angeles Chargers are also sitting quarterback Justin Herbert. That said, the Broncos will be without a key starter on defense in Week 18. So, hours before kickoff, let’s see what it means for the Broncos.
Tight End Nate Adkins (Knee)
Adkins, No. 75 in PFSN’s NFL TE Impact Metric, doesn’t have a game status designation after practicing in full on Thursday and Friday after recording a limited practice on Wednesday. In eight games (168 offensive snaps), he has six receptions on 11 targets for 48 yards and a touchdown. Adkins’ strength, though, is blocking inline. He’s totaled 10 pass block snaps and 96 run block snaps thus far.
Wide Receiver Pat Bryant (Concussion)
The same practice progression for the week goes for Bryant, and he doesn’t have a game status designation heading into the game. Bryant is No. 78 in PFSN’s NFL WR Impact Metric. In 14 games, he has 27 receptions on 44 targets for 347 yards and a touchdown. Bryant is another auxiliary pass catcher behind Courtland Sutton for quarterback Bo Nix, alongside Marvin Mims Jr. and Troy Franklin.
Guard Ben Powers (Biceps)
Powers practiced in full every day this week. It looks like his biceps injury is behind him with one game left in the regular season. The Denver Broncos’ offensive line, meanwhile, is No. 4 in PFSN’s Team Offensive Line Impact Score. Powers, however, is No. 119 in PFSN’s NFL OL Impact Metric. In seven games, he’s totaled 387 offensive snaps — committing three penalties as well.
Linebacker Karene Reid (Hamstring)
Reid was a full participant in practice every day this week, but has been ruled out — and will remain on injured reserve.
Interior Defensive Lineman John Franklin-Myers (Hip)
Franklin-Myers is questionable to play in Week 18 after logging limited practices all week. He is No. 27 in PFSN’s NFL DL Impact Metric. Franklin-Myers has logged back-to-back seven-plus sack seasons from the interior defensive line and has likely played himself out of re-signing with Denver on a team-friendly deal. He’ll command top dollar in free agency. In Week 18, though, Franklin-Myers’ status is a situation to monitor up to 90 minutes before kickoff when inactives are announced.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Hamstring)
Greenlaw didn’t practice all week and is out in Week 18. Expect fellow inside linebacker Justin Strnad to start this week.

KAD should be playing safety instead of pj Locke. KAD is faster, has beater hands, tackles better and can make the switch from corner to safety until Brandon jones comes back, if he comes Back!!!!!
