November 2025 turned into one of the busiest and most personal stretches of the year for Coco Gauff. The two-time Grand Slam champion balanced the end of her competitive season with family milestones, community work, hometown pride, and off-court adventures that kept her connected to fans even while she rested from the tour. From emotional reflections to festival outings to philanthropic triumphs, here is everything Gauff did throughout the month.
1. Coco Gauff Reflects on Her Season After Her WTA Finals Heartbreak
Gauff officially closed the book on her 2025 season after bowing out of the WTA Finals, where she entered as the third seed and the defending champion. Slotted into the Stefanie Graf Group with Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini, she opened her campaign with a tight three-setter against Pegula that slipped away from her.
A straight-sets win over Paolini briefly revived her semifinal hopes, but Sabalenka put an end to her title defense with a straight-sets victory in the final group match.
Once her year formally ended on Nov. 6, Gauff shared a candid message with fans by posting a photo from her French Open triumph earlier in the season. She wrote that her season stretched nearly 11 months. She admitted the year carried its share of disappointments but emphasized that the positives far outweighed the setbacks.
With gratitude, she explained how deeply she cherishes the emotional highs that come with professional tennis and thanked her supporters, family, team, and God before promising to recharge and return stronger next season. She ended her post with, “see you guys back on court next year, we uppppp😛😏.”
2. Gauff Celebrates Brother Codey’s Signing Day at Mizzou
Family pride took center stage when Coco attended her brother Codey’s baseball signing day with the University of Missouri. The 18-year-old has been a standout with the San Diego Padres scout team and will officially begin his college career in the fall of 2025.
Gauff beamed in a photo she shared from the event, posing with Codey beside a painting created for the ceremony. She called him her “GOAT,” “inspiration,” and “first friend,” making clear how meaningful the milestone was for their family. Her Instagram story caption read, “signing day for my lil bro 😭🤍 so proud of you… I love you! Proud of you! #D1.”

3. Gauff and Boyfriend Jalen Sera Enjoy an Off-Season Art Day and Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival
With her season finished, Gauff carved out time for a slower, more creative off-season pace. She and her boyfriend, Jalen Sera, spent part of their break exploring the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery in Los Angeles. The couple wandered through contemporary installations and shared glimpses of bright, expressive works by artists like Alteronce Gumby.
The fun didn’t stop there. Gauff and Sera also attended the 2025 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival on Nov. 22-23. The star-studded lineup included Tyler, the Creator, Childish Gambino, ASAP Rocky, Doechii, Kali Uchis, and Blood Orange.

4. Gauff Uses US Open Prize Money to Renovate Courts in New Orleans
One of Gauff’s most meaningful November moments came during her visit to Joe W. Brown Park in New Orleans, where she unveiled newly renovated public courts funded partly by the $3 million she earned from her 2023 US Open victory. The project is part of the USTA’s Open Legacy Initiative, a program launched in her honor to refurbish public courts across the country.
New Orleans held particular significance because of Gauff’s family roots. Her father, Corey, grew up in the area, and she spent many childhood visits there. Joined by family, she surprised dozens of children from the A’s and Aces tennis and academic program, ran a clinic, and spoke with families about why access to public courts mattered so much in her own development.
The celebration closed with a signature New Orleans flourish. The Kinfolk Brass Band led a lively second line around the new courts while Gauff danced, twirling an umbrella and laughing with the kids. A video of the day later appeared on Instagram. The refurbished facility now features resurfaced courts, new nets and equipment, and free programming for kids and adults.
5. Gauff Shows Her Florida Roots at Pelicans vs. Bulls Game
Later in the month, Gauff headed to New Orleans again, this time for the Pelicans’ 143-130 win over the Chicago Bulls at Smoothie King Center. She attended with her boyfriend, Jalen, and her brothers, Codey and Cameron. After the game, she posted a courtside photo of the four of them, with the Gauff siblings throwing up the “dialed-in” gesture that Florida Gators fans often use as a celebration.
6. Gauff’s Thanksgiving Karaoke Takes Over Instagram
To cap off the month, Gauff shared a heartwarming Thanksgiving moment featuring her whole family. Her Instagram stories revealed a fun karaoke session where her brothers danced behind her as her “background dancers.” She joked about not going live this year, but she happily posted clips of the performance, accompanied by affectionate captions like “love my family sm” and “elevated it with some background dancers.”
Gauff concluded a remarkable season as the world No. 3, highlighted by securing her second Grand Slam victory at the 2025 French Open. Her standout year included a title in Wuhan, finals appearances in Madrid and Rome, and a doubles victory in Montreal, culminating in a 48–16 singles record and nearly $7.27 million in earnings.
She is set to kick off her 2026 campaign in Australia, captaining the top-seeded Team USA alongside Taylor Fritz. The defending champions will compete in Group A against Spain and Argentina at the United Cup from January 2 to 11.
