On the tennis side of things, Gauff concluded her 2025 season after competing in the WTA Finals. She was the defending champion at the tournament but was unable to advance past the round-robin stage this year.

Throughout the season, Gauff secured four titles: two in singles, one in doubles, and one with the American team at the United Cup. At the beginning of the season, she and Taylor Fritz helped Team USA win their second title at the United Cup by defeating Team Poland in the final.

Gauff won her first singles title of the year at the 2025 French Open. She triumphed over Olivia Gadecki, Tereza Valentová, Marie Bouzkova, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Madison Keys, and Loïs Boisson to reach the final. She then defeated Aryna Sabalenka 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4, claiming her first singles title at Roland Garros and her second Grand Slam singles title overall.

Gauff’s second singles title of the year came at the 2025 Wuhan Open. On her way to the final, she overcame Moyuka Uchijima, Zhang Shuai, Laura Siegemund, and Jasmine Paolini. In the championship match, she defeated Jessica Pegula 6-4, 7-5, winning her third WTA 1000 title and her 11th career WTA Tour singles title.

The former doubles world No. 1 won her only doubles title of the year at the 2025 Canadian Open, partnering with compatriot McCartney Kessler. They defeated the duo of Taylor Townsend and Zhang Shuai with a score of 6-4, 1-6, [13-11] in the final to secure the title.
