Coco Gauff Enjoys an Off Season Art Escape With Boyfriend in Los Angeles

Coco Gauff spent part of her off-season enjoying a calm art gallery visit in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, Jalen Sera.

Coco Gauff is using her short break from the tour to slow things down and soak in new experiences, and this time, the two-time Grand Slam champion chose to step inside a contemporary art space. Gauff and her boyfriend, Jalen Sera, spent part of her offseason wandering through the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery in Los Angeles, sharing glimpses of their laid-back outing with fans as they browsed vibrant pieces from artists such as Alteronce Gumby.

An Off-Court Art Break for Coco Gauff and Her Boyfriend Jalen Sera

Gauff recently wrapped up her season after bowing out of the WTA Finals, where she entered as the third seed. The 21-year-old landed in the Stefanie Graf Group with Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini. Gauff’s  run began with a three-set loss to Pegula, which made her path to the semifinals more complicated.

She kept herself in contention by sweeping Paolini in straight sets, but her momentum stalled in the final group match when Sabalenka edged past her with a straight-sets win. With her season officially closed, Gauff has shifted her focus toward recovery and preparation for 2026, opting to recharge through quieter, more personal experiences away from the spotlight.

Part of that reset has included quality time with Sera, a musician and aspiring actor from Atlanta, Georgia. The two have been together since 2023, though their connection stretches much further back as Gauff’s mother, Candi, once taught Sera in fourth grade.

Over the years, familiarity developed into a relationship that Gauff publicly acknowledged earlier this year, shortly after celebrating their second anniversary in the glow of her French Open triumph.

How Did Gauff React to Her 2025 Run Coming to an End?

Gauff gave her followers a glimpse into her state of mind as she wrapped up her 2025 season. Posting a snapshot from her French Open win earlier this year, she shared:

“My 2025 season is officially over and it was a longggg one. I played my first match of this season December 29th, 2024 and my last match of the season November 6th, 2025😳. It was filled with some disappointments but mainly positives and when I look back at it, I feel proud of all the things I accomplished.”

She went on to thank her supporters and reflect on the emotional ride that comes with playing elite tennis: “I love this sport and I am grateful for all of its ups and downs. Very few feelings come close to the euphoria you feel when you are living in a dream come true or a prayer come to fruition and I am eternally grateful to God for these experiences and the opportunity to feel this feeling constantly.”

Gauff finished the season as World No. 3 after a standout year highlighted by her second Grand Slam title at the 2025 French Open. She also reached the Madrid and Rome finals and won the Wuhan Open. Gauff wrapped up 2025 with a 48-16 singles record, a doubles title in Montreal, and about $7.27 million in prize money.
