As the NFL heads into Week 12, several teams are dealing with some major injury questions. The 2025 NFL season is nearing its conclusion in November, so teams are facing a crunch time for maintaining healthy bodies.
For NFL fans and fantasy managers, the injury list is critical for understanding who might be out or limited in the upcoming games. Here’s a breakdown of the notable injuries and what you need to know about them heading in.
Bucky Irving, RB, and Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Update 11.21: Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles announced on Friday that running back Bucky Irving will miss Sunday night’s game, according to Schefter. Bowles added team is eyeing a return in Week 13 against Arizona.
Update 11/20: Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving and wide receiver Chris Godwin were back on the team’s practice field on Thursday, according to NFL reporter Greg Aumen of Fox Sports. It looks like both players are ramping up their returns to the lineup at some point.

But Rondé Barber, on a Thursday morning radio show in Tampa Bay, said that Irving was out this week against the Los Angeles Rams. “Bucky is not going to be back on Sunday Night Football,” Barber said.
Additionally, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard added some insight on Thursday to Irving and Godwin’s situation at this time. “Josh Grizzard said it’s ‘still early’ to think of Irving and Godwin as close enough to be game-planning with specific plays for them in mind, knowing they’re playing,” Aumen also reported.
Update 11/19: Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka were among six players that did not practice on Wednesday because of an illness, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Irving was a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice for the Buccaneers.
On Tuesday, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles offered an update on the status of Irving and wide receiver Chris Godwin.
According to Bowles, both players will see more action in practice this week. Irving has been dealing with foot and shoulder injuries, while Godwin has been dealing with a fibula injury.
According to the PFSN NFL RB Impact metrics, Irving has an NFL RB Impact Score of 61.4 and grades out at a D-. According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Buccaneers have an NFL Offense Impact Score of 73.4 and grade out at a C.
Trey Benson and Emari Demercado, RBs, Arizona Cardinals
Update 11/19: Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Wednesday that running back Emari Demercado and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will both miss this Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Also on Wednesday, Cardinals running back Trey Benson, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, was back on the practice field with the team and without a knee brace on at all.

Benson has been sidelined with a knee injury and remains on Injured Reserve at this time.
Benson’s return, though, might be soon, with news coming out on Demercado. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Demercado suffered a high ankle sprain against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.

According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Cardinals have an NFL Offense Impact Score of 72.4, grading out to a C-.
Joe Mixon, RB, C.J. Stroud, QB, and Jalen Pitre, S, Houston Texans
Update 11/20: It’s a wrap on Texas running back Joe Mixon returning at all this season. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday that it’s unlikely Mixon, who has been dealing with a foot injury, will be in the Texans’ backfield at all.

On Tuesday, Texans general manager Nick Caserio, in an appearance on Sports Radio 610 in Houston, offered some thoughts about Mixon potentially returning.
“It’s a very gray situation,” Caserio said. “Joe’s worked at it. There were times where he’s made progress and other times when the progress is kinda stalled. Obviously we’re getting pretty late in the game here, I don’t want to establish any sort of expectations. I don’t think we have anymore clarity at this point.”
As for quarterback C.J. Stroud and safety Jalen Pitre, Ryans said that both players, who are currently in concussion protocol, have been ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. With Stroud out, backup quarterback Davis Mills will make his third straight start for the Texans. Stroud, though, did return to the Texans’ practice field on Tuesday.
Additionally, ESPN Texans reporter DJ Bien-Aime reported on Tuesday that Stroud is expected to be available for the team’s Week 13 game on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Update 11/21: On Friday, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had no limitations reported on his team’s practice sheet, according to Cowboys reporter Jon Machota from The Athletic. Prescott, who has been dealing with a hip injury, looks all ready to go on Sunday.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
Update 11/21: Running back Rhamondre Stevenson, who has been dealing with a toe injury, is on track to return on Sunday after missing the last three games, per HC Mike Vrabel, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Update 11/19: On Wednesday, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that running back Omarion Hampton, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, could return to the team’s 53-man roster soon.
Harbaugh said that Hampton’s 21-day practice window could be opened following the bye week. Hampton has been moving around without a walking boot and working out on a side field during some Chargers’ recent practices.
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Travis Etienne and Bhayshul Tuten, RBs, Jacksonville Jaguars
Update 11/21: Jaguars running back Travis Etienne has no injury designation for the Jaguars on Friday. Also on Friday, DE Travon Walker and WR Brian Thomas Jr. are out for Sunday’s game against Arizona, according to Schefter.
Update 11/20: Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, was listed as a non-contact participant in Thursday’s practice. Meanwhile, running back Bhayshul Tuten appeared to be a full practice member on Thursday.
Update 11/19: Beyond the news about wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., Jaguars running backs Travis Etienne and Bhayshul Tuten were listed as limited in practice on Wednesday.
Thomas has been working his way back into playing shape after suffering an ankle injury.
On Tuesday, the Jaguars did not have an update available on Thomas’ status. He did not play last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Thomas has an NFL WR Impact Score of 67.9 and grades out to a D+.
Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions
Update 11/21: Lions head coach Dan Campbell announced on Friday that tight end Sam LaPorta is likely gone for the rest of the regular season. He’s out due to a back injury.
Isiah Pacheco, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Update 11.21: On Friday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid ruled out WR Isiah Pacheco, who has been dealing with a right knee injury, for Sunday’s game against the Colts, Schefter reported. “It wasn’t a setback,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said. “I think he’s coming out pretty good. I think that’s a plus.”
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Update 11/21: Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers practiced on Friday with his broken wrist. He had a brace/wrap on his left wrist, too.
Update 11/20: Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said on Thursday that there was “incentive” to play against every opponent, including the Chicago Bears. Rodgers made his comments before Steelers reporters, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Update 11/19: Rodgers, who has been dealing with an injured left wrist, said that he was going to try and get back on the field on Thursday.
Rodgers left last Sunday’s game with an injured left wrist. On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that Rodgers has a fracture in his left wrist that will not need surgery, according to Schefter. His status for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears remains uncertain at this time.

Michael Penix Jr., QB, Atlanta Falcons
Update 11/19: Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was put on season-ending Injured Reserve on Wednesday after suffering a torn ACL.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Penix would be out of action for at least four weeks. Penix suffered a left knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, according to the Falcons. Kirk Cousins will now start in Penix’s place.
“We are working through the medical process to determine the severity of the injury,” the Falcons reported on Monday. “He will be placed on the reserve/injured list and miss a minimum of four games.”
According to the PFSN NFL QB Impact metrics, Penix has an NFL QB Impact Score of 69.7 and grades out to a D+.
Dalton Kincaid, TE, Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel, WRs, Buffalo Bills
Update 11/19: On Wednesday, the Bills ruled out tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel from their game on Thursday night against the Texans. Kincaid has a hamstring injury, while Hardman has a calf injury and Samuel is dealing with elbow and neck injuries.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
Update 11/21: Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs of the Green Bay Packers is listed as question heading into Sunday’s game. Update 11/20: Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said on Thursday that running back Josh Jacobs, who has been dealing with a knee injury, will do individual drills in practice on Thursday, according to Packers beat writer Ryan Wood of USA Today.

Quintin Lake, S, and Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams
Update 11/19: Rams safety Quintin Lake underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair an injured elbow, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
It also was reported that there’s a possibility that Lake returns later this season in the playoffs. Lake was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, along with teammates tight end Tyler Higbee and offensive lineman Rob Havenstein.
Ken Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks
Update 11/21: The Seahawks list RB Ken Walker III as questionable for their game at Tennessee Sunday because of a glute injury, which is apparently new, according to Seahawks reporter for ESPN Brady Henderson. This is the first time all season that Walker’s name has even appeared on Seattle’s injury report.
Joe Burrow, QB, and Mike Gesicki, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Update 11/21: On Friday, the Bengals activated tight end Mike Gesicki and put him on the active roster, according to Rapoport. Defensive end Isaiah Foskey was signed to the team’s main squad off of the practice roster and cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was placed on Injured Reserve. Bengals say quarterback Joe Burrow is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots.

When talking about Burrow possibly returning, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said the following: “I wish I had a decision today. I’m going to take in all the information.”
Update 11/19: Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki, who is on Injured Reserve because of a pec injury, was designated to return to practice on Wednesday, Rapoport reported.
Additionally on Wednesday, quarterback Joe Burrow was listed as a full participant on Wednesday’s injury report, meaning that he took all of the first-team reps for the first time since his surgery, Pelissero reported. Quarterback Joe Flacco, who is dealing with a right shoulder injury, was limited in practice.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Update 11/20: On Thursday, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to the Ravens’ practice field, according to ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley.

Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka offered an update on Dart’s status when meeting with reporters on Monday.
