College Football Week 10 Offensive Rankings: Louisiana Tech’s Historic Efficiency and One B1G Future Matchup

Eight teams scored 90 or higher in OFFi, as Week 10 of the 2025 season rewrote the record book for offensive dominance.

Just last week, we discussed how historic a week it was for offenses. The average score of 77.9 marked the second-highest OFFi (at the time) and featured multiple A- or better teams. Fortunately for all college football fans, the offensive excellence continues to shine.

Week 10’s average OFFi score was 78.0, taking over the second-place spot and slotting just behind the 83.0 from Week 16 of 2019. 2025 is now tied with 2024 and 2021 with three total weeks appearing in our top 10, and we aren’t even close to being done yet. Thanks to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the two monsters likely set for a clash in the Big Ten Championship, our OFFi article for this week highlights some impressive performances.

10) Clemson Tigers

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 88.4 (B+)

It’s not every week you see the team on the losing end of a 40-point game make the list while the other does not. Despite their defense being as porous as Swiss cheese, the way Duke sliced through them, the Clemson Tigers offense showed lots of promise and explosiveness.

According to TruMedia, their 0.54 EPA (expected points added) per dropback was the sixth-highest mark from a Tigers offense since 2019. Antonio Williams was particularly impressive in this game, catching 10 of his 12 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Ironically, this doesn’t even include his first catch of the game, which was negated by a holding penalty. The very next play, Williams lined up in the slot on the wide side of the field in a two-by-two formation. Cade Klubnik took a three-step drop, stepped into the pocket, and ripped one to Williams right down the middle of the field for a 64-yard gain. This kind of explosiveness is what we had hoped to see from them all season long.

9) Texas Longhorns

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 89.3 (B+)

Just as Arch Manning talked about postgame, maybe the concussion helped him out. One thing I know for certain is that he looks significantly less tense and is playing a lot better football than at the beginning of the season. It appears that Steve Sarkisian is finally going back to what worked for Manning in his limited playing time last year, and it’s really unlocked the offense in the last six or so quarters of football.

Manning wasn’t the only reason for an OFFi grade of B+. In the impressive win over Vanderbilt, the Longhorns averaged 10.1 yards after the catch per completion. This was their best mark of the season by over a yard and ranks 50th overall in 2025. To put it into perspective, the Longhorns entered the week ranked 37th in YAC, and this game alone has jumped them all the way to 16th.

8) Florida State Seminoles

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 90.0 (A-)

Florida State got the pleasure of putting Wake Forest to bed with a 42-point explosion. Tommy Castellanos had just 16 passes on the night but still completed 12 of them for 271 yards and a touchdown. His 16.9 yards per pass attempt ranks eighth this season and is the second-highest mark he has achieved in 2025.

The Seminoles are one of eight teams to receive a grade of 90 or higher this week. This breaks the record of five teams with a 90.0 or better that was set in Week 2 of the 2025 season.

7) Ohio State Buckeyes

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 91.2 (A-)

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the 1a to Indiana’s 1b, as both the title of this article and the introduction refer to. Despite being known for a dominant defense that’s allowing the fewest points per game (6.9) this century, the Buckeyes have recently started to turn it on offensively as well. This should be a scary omen for teams that thought the Buckeyes weren’t as formidable as they were last season.

As we talked about here, quarterback Julian Sayin is now the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. He is also among an elite group of quarterbacks who are the most accurate passers in history. Sayin went 20 of 23 for 316 yards, four touchdowns, and zero turnovers or sacks. That’s as close to perfect as you are going to see, especially when you turn on the tape and see his deep ball placement.

What’s even more amusing (and scary for some) is that they are completely slowing everything down and taking a Tom Brady–New England Patriots–esque approach to the regular season, staying relatively vanilla until they need to turn it on. This can be proven when you see that the Buckeyes run the slowest offense in all of FBS (31.7 seconds per play).

To dive even deeper, I created a route variation metric that measures how creative a team’s pass plays are based on the routes their receivers are running. Ohio State ranked 29th in this metric in 2024 and ranks 90th thus far in 2025. It appears to me that they know what they have and are waiting to unleash it.

6) East Carolina Pirates

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 92.0 (A-)

The East Carolina Pirates dropped 45 points on the Temple Owls on the back of a 359-yard rushing performance with a very impressive 7.2 yards per carry. This is the first time since Week 2 that the Pirates have cracked the top 20, and the first time all year they have cracked our top 10.

5) Liberty Flames

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 92.3 (A-)

Perhaps my favorite performance of the week comes from a team I actually expected (and predicted!) to lose. I am a big believer in Delaware and thought they could figure out a way to stifle this Liberty offense. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Evan Dickens rushed for 217 yards and four touchdowns, reminiscent of a certain Knox high school running back in the Indiana High School Athletic Association football playoffs.

With Delaware being in their first season of FBS football, I’m sure both Myles McLaughlin and Dickens will get the same critique of not facing very stiff competition, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. Dickens’ most impressive run of the night was a 72-yarder on the second play of the second half, putting Liberty up 35-9. They wouldn’t extend this lead until their last score of the game.

4) Indiana Hoosiers

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 92.7 (A-)

The other half of the two-headed Big Ten monster is the Indiana Hoosiers, who continue to steamroll opponents both offensively and defensively. Indiana has the second-ranked and first-ranked offense and defense according to our metrics and just put up their third top-five OFFi weekly score of the season.

Although the competition for the Heisman has grown closer with Julian Sayin going super-saiyan, I’d say Fernando Mendoza at least gets to go to New York for the ceremony. Mendoza actually had a somewhat poor performance but was able to rely on a rushing attack that totaled 369 yards and four touchdowns on 7.4 yards per carry.

3) NC State Wolfpack

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 94.7 (A)

There aren’t enough great things to say about CJ Bailey. As I pointed out in this piece about top future transfers, Bailey has immense talent extending plays but is actually at his best inside the pocket, maneuvering around. This is a trait you absolutely love to see because it is a much more stable indicator of success in the NFL than bailing immediately.

He annihilated the Georgia Tech defense in their first loss of the season, all while playing with a bum ankle without his top two weapons, Justin Joly and Hollywood Smothers. The 94.7 grade they received this week is almost 10 full points higher than any week in our database (2019).

2) Kansas Jayhawks

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 95.1 (A)

The Kansas Jayhawks crack the top 10 for the first time this year. Before this game, the Jayhawks’ offense was the definition of consistency. They played well enough to earn either a C or a C+ in every game, but nothing higher or lower. Luckily, being consistently above average has netted them an overall ranking of 27th on the season, with an 82.2 score.

The 38-21 win over Oklahoma State was business as usual for Kansas, scoring a touchdown more than their 52nd-ranked 31.3 points per game.

1) Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

Week 10 PFSN College OFFi Grade: 98.5 (A+)

The No. 1 team in yet another historic week is the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. In terms of OFFi scores, only UCF’s 70-13 win over Temple in Week 7 of 2022 ranks higher than the Bulldogs’ 55-14 win over Sam Houston State. It even surpasses Washington’s now third-ranked all-time offensive performance from last week.

This wasn’t one of those games where it takes a while to get going. Similar to some of your favorite route runners, the Bulldogs “released” off the line of scrimmage with an incredible four straight touchdowns on their opening four drives. The 426 yards and six touchdowns on the ground rank sixth in terms of total yardage. Their 10.9 yards per carry ranks fourth this season.
