Fans Blast Deion Sanders Buffs After Viral Clip

In Cote’s passionate speech, she urged Colorado players to take pride in the Buffs’ reputation and to work hard in training. NFL fans on X had mixed reactions to the clip:

DeVon Muhammad suggested that Colorado should never have released the clip to the public.

“This should’ve been archived, never released to the public,” Muhammad opined.

One fan declared his love for Coach Prime, but blasted the Buffs football program.

“I love coach prime but Colorado football is a joke,” the fan admitted.

“Darth Vol” was scathing in his assessment of Cote’s speech and the quality of the Buffs roster.

“I now understand why they look like a D3 squad,” “Darth Vol” posted.

“ItsEFrank” was shocked by the speech and even accused Coach Prime of sabotaging his own team.

“This not real right? boy ain’t no (expletive) way. I’d be in that portal so fast. Deion trynna lose on purpose @ this point,” “ItsEFrank” wrote.

Fredd Ochoa predicted that Sanders’ Buffs would suffer another losing season.

“Another 4-8 season loading up!!” Ochoa predicted.

“TCwell64” was not motivated by Cote’s speech.

“I feel sorry for Colorado Football. You came for the program, not to BE Programmed,” “TCwell64” sympathized.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Cote graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports conditioning before earning a master’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Tarleton State University.

Cote embarked on her coaching journey with an internship at Yale University in 2020 and served as a sports performance graduate assistant at Tarleton State (2021–2022). She also served as a coaching assistant at Fresno State in 2022.

Cote was appointed an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Rice University between 2022 and 2024. She took the same role at Colorado in April 2025 under renowned S&C coach Andreu Swasey.

Sanders faces an uphill task to restore the Buffs’ reputation after Colorado regressed to a 3-9 finish last season. The Buffs earned a PFN College Team Defense Impact score of 73.7 (No. 77 in the country) and an Offensive Impact score of 74.4 (No. 80 in the country).

Coach Prime hired Brennan Marion to replace Pat Shurmur as Colorado’s offensive coordinator and promoted Chris Marve to replace Robert Livingston as the defensive coordinator.
