The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and the next generation of NFL stars will soon find out which team they’ll each be representing come September. One of the first players to discover his fate is likely to be Penn State product Abdul Carter. One of only a few blue-chip prospects in the draft, Carter is almost certain to be one of the first four players picked in the draft.

The details of Carter’s love life remain unknown by the general public and those in the media. There is nothing on the player’s social media that suggests a romantic relationship of any kind. Football is the primary source of Carter’s content, alongside some sponsored posts for a fast-food chain.
If there is a romantic partner somewhere, Carter has done a very good job of keeping the relationship under wraps.

Carter is considered by many to be the best player in the 2025 draft class. His PFSN Draft Profile highlights his speed as something that makes him incredibly difficult to stop.
“There’s a lot to like about Carter as a pass rusher. He displays an explosive first step to threaten the edges of the blocker almost instantly. Getting hands on Carter is extremely challenging, as he is so quick off the ball when going vertically, but also displays outstanding lateral quickness to make the blocker miss with his hands and gain a clear path to the quarterback.
“Carter is a speed rusher who plays with a relentless motor. His speed makes it nearly impossible for opposing quarterbacks to get away from him when he is closing down in pursuit, and he makes a ton of plays late in the down by never giving up on his rush. Carter has a little tightness in his lower half but still shows the ability to bend and corner at the top of his rush and is an excellent finisher.”
Latest PFSN Mock Draft Sends Carter to New England
PFSN’s latest three-round Mock Draft has Carter being drafted fourth overall, landing with the New England Patriots.
“The Penn State product was a game-wrecker last year, racking up 12 sacks and 24 tackles for loss in his first season as a full-time edge defender. Carter lacks ideal length, but he possesses rare athleticism and explosiveness. Combine that with his relentless motor and high IQ, and you have a cornerstone talent on your hands.”
Carter would arguably be best served with either the Cleveland Browns at Pick 2 or the New York Giants at Pick 3. In Cleveland, Carter would join forces with arguably the scariest player in the NFL in Myles Garrett, creating one of the best pass rushes in recent memory. If he lands with the Giants, meanwhile, he would be anchored by one of the best defensive tackles in the game, Dexter Lawrence.
Wherever he lands, though, Carter promises to be a devastating player at the next level.
