Top WRs To Start in Week 9

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

Did you know that we have to go back to Week 1 of this season for the last time that Olave finished inside the top-15 wide receivers for fantasy football? He finished as the WR31 in Week 7 and is slated to finish as the WR56 in Week 8 prior to the Monday night contest, which is not what fantasy managers were hoping for when they drafted him with a premium selection.

However, he’s still seeing a healthy amount of targets every week, it just hasn’t translated to phenomenal production in the box score. Over the past three weeks, Olave has seen 10, 15, and nine targets. That’s what you want to chase after in your fantasy lineups.

The touchdowns will follow eventually, and this is a great matchup for Derek Carr and Co. to light up the scoreboard. The Chicago Bears just got trounced on national television by the Los Angeles Chargers. Olave’s in a great spot to find the end zone for the second time this year in Week 9.

Gabe Davis, Buffalo Bills

We saw a career day for Davis in Week 8 with 12 targets, and it translated to a top-12 fantasy finish after two performances finishing outside of the top 80. Josh Allen looked like a different QB out there from what we’d seen recently — it translated to a big day from Davis.

In a matchup on Sunday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals, we should see points flying up on the board in this competitive game. Davis projects to be at the center of that. If you have him, he’s still a tad boom-or-bust, but he needs to be in your starting lineups here.
