The seven-time Super Bowl champion joined the wave of support underneath Romo’s Instagram post Tuesday, leaving three pink heart emojis beneath the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s lengthy statement.
It was a small reaction, but a notable one from another former star quarterback who now works in an NFL broadcast booth.

Brady’s verified account left three pink hearts on Romo’s Instagram post after Romo publicly addressed the circumstances surrounding his July arrest.

UPI reported that Brady and former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant were among the former NFL stars who offered support.
Romo wrote that multiple back surgeries after his playing career left him dealing with constant pain, which he said led to a “dependence on pain medication.” He said his effort to stop using those medications then contributed to an “over-reliance on alcohol.”
“None of this is an excuse,” Romo wrote. “These are my failures, and I take responsibility for them.”
The health disclosures came as Romo announced that he pleaded no contest Tuesday to a civil first-offense OWI in Wisconsin.

Reuters reported that two additional citations tied to unsafe driving and open intoxicants were dismissed. Romo received a $784 fine, a six-month suspension of his driving privileges, and an ignition-interlock requirement.
Brady’s response did not address the legal case or CBS situation directly. Three hearts simply signaled support as Romo discussed a difficult period publicly.
Broadcasting Futures Give Reaction Another Layer
There is another connection beyond their decorated playing careers.
Brady enters his third season as Fox’s lead analyst alongside Kevin Burkhardt. Romo has served as CBS’ lead game analyst since 2017, but the network placed him on leave following his July 23 arrest and elevated J.J. Watt to work with Jim Nantz.

CBS Sports president David Berson said in August that there was no timetable for a decision on Romo’s future.
Romo nevertheless made his own intentions clear Tuesday, writing that he hopes, “in time,” to return to CBS.
That broadcasting uncertainty has generated weeks of speculation. PFN previously examined Romo’s CBS future and the significant money remaining on his contract, but neither side has announced a separation.
For now, Romo says his attention is on his health, family, and the changes he believes are necessary. He also thanked friends and members of the NFL community for their encouragement.
Brady’s three-heart response falls squarely into that category. It did not offer analysis, judgment, or a prediction about what CBS should do next.
For one of football’s most recognizable former quarterbacks, it was simply a public show of support for another.
