After things had settled down publicly between Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua and his ex-girlfriend Hallie Aiono, a new TikTok has uncovered more.
Nacua and Aiono met in 2021, as Nacua was playing college football at BYU at the time. They had been together until recently, as Aiono’s pregnancy uncovered dark times in their relationship.
Aiono recently opened up further on her feelings over the last year and a half, alleging Nacua was abusive.

Aiono and Nacua began dating in 2021 and continued throughout Nacua’s career from BYU to the NFL with the Rams.
In 2025, Aiono gave birth to their son, Kingston, but she opened up on social media about the depression and anxiety she felt during her pregnancy, hinting it was caused by Nacua’s actions and absence.
Before she gave birth in October, Aiono filed a petition in June to legally confirm Nacua was the father of the baby and request custody rights and financial support.
The two are now separated, and Aiono is opening up more on what happened during her pregnancy and relationship with Nacua.
“I have experienced the darkest, darkest days of my life in the last year and a half,” she said during a TikTok. “I went from loving somebody so deeply for four years – I felt it in my bones – to experiencing extreme betrayal, abuse, complete neglect from them, in what, it felt like it happened almost overnight.”

Aiono added that the details that became public affected her mental health, but the private stuff was even worse.
“A lot of the things that were public affected my mental health. But honestly, the things that were happening in private are what completely crushed me and altered my brain chemistry,” Aiono said. “Those parts that people never saw or know of are what broke me.”

The first-time mother added she’s focused on understanding her mind and how it works at a deeper level now to recover from the alleged abuse by Nacua.

Nacua is currently facing a civil lawsuit alleging assault, battery, gender violence, and negligence based on an incident in December where a woman alleges Nacua made an antisemitic statement and bit her shoulder and her companion’s thumb.
Back in 2025, Nacua issued a public apology for an offensive, antisemitic-themed gesture during a livestream, and the Rams receiver spent time at a rehab facility going through holistic care in March 2026.
Amid Nacua’s ongoing legal battles, the receiver is entering the final year of his rookie contract and would be set to become one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL based on his play on the field. But his issues off the field will factor into what happens.
