Top RBs To Start in Week 9
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals
We finally saw this Cincinnati Bengals offense get right this past week against the San Francisco 49ers, and it led to a big day at the office for Mixon. After a pedestrian start to the 2023 NFL season, Mixon came through for fantasy managers with a solid performance in Week 8.
It’s a tough matchup in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills defense, but if Joe Burrow is finally back to full strength — which it appears that he is — then Mixon’s moving into the must-start territory every week because of the scoring upside that follows.
Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals
With James Conner not able to return until at least Week 10, we have one more week of the Arizona Cardinals backfield being led by Emari Demercado. While he hasn’t done anything incredibly flashy or exhilarating on the field, he’s seeing volume.

It’s a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns defense, but if you’re in a pinch and you need a Flex option in Week 9, Demercado seems to be guaranteed at least 15 touches. That has tremendous value at the RB position right now.
