Bueckers, who wanted to stay close to the three-time All-Star, used both hands to hold onto her. For some reason, the referee, who had a clear look at the play, initially refused to call a foul.
As Clark moved closer to the official, Bueckers kept a hold of her, prompting the Fever superstar to lash out, throw the ball in frustration, and confront the referee after the whistle.

Bueckers could be heard telling Clark to “calm down” after the Fever guard’s intense reaction to the play. The half ended without another edgy encounter between the two franchise cornerstones.
Kelsey Mitchell scored on the next play off a nifty pass from Clark to push the Fever to a 42-42 tie with the Wings at the break.
