The Indiana Fever have gotten hot over their past few games, thanks in large part to Caitlin Clark. Following another impressive performance in the 95-91 OT win against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, social media was brimming with praise for the Fever guard.
After starting 5-5 over their first ten games of the season, the Fever have managed to turn things around completely. Things finally clicked for the team, and they now hold a 23-12 record following Sunday’s win over the Dream.
Caitlin Clark Receives Tons of Praise After Fever’s Victory Over Dream
Clark’s performance has caught the attention of fans and the media alike, with many crediting her leadership for the team’s recent hot streak. Thanks to another strong night of production in which she recorded 26 points and 9 assists, fans and analysts raved about the three-time All-Star’s dominance.
Retired NFL Pro Bowler Robert Griffin III highlighted how special Clark was, diving into her stats.
“Caitlin Clark 26 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds and a big time win over the Atlanta Dream. Caitlin Clark should be the front runner for WNBA MVP,” he tweeted. “Nobody impacts the game more with scoring & assists.”
He also pointed out that no one in WNBA history had ever finished in the top three in scoring and first in assists. Something that Clark is on track to accomplish this season.

StatMuse also highlighted that the recent win vs. the Dream meant Clark had split her series with Angel Reese.
ESPN also got in on the fun, sharing an important milestone for Clark following Sunday night’s win.
“Caitlin Clark posted her 23rd career game with at least 25 points and 5 assists Sunday, now 5th-most in WNBA history 🏀,” they posted. “It’s Clark’s 12th such game this season extending her own WNBA single-season record 😲.”

“50/41/86 shooting splits on 26+ PPG is crazy. 😮💨🔥” HoopCentral posted.
However, not everyone was impressed by what they saw, with sports analyst Jason Whitlock remaining critical, not just of Clark, but also of Reese.
“No one made an MVP case in that game. Angel Reese made a case for cancelling the WNBA. That’s the only thing that happened. That game was brutal. Clark Cult, stand down,” he posted.

Clark and the Fever are now one victory away from tying their longest streak this season of five wins. The three-time All-Star now also has two straight games in which she’s bested her rivals.
On Friday, Indiana hosted and beat Paige Bueckers-led Dallas Wings.
Clark and Bueckers put on a show for the fans with a riveting duel, tying for a game-high 29 points. The Wings star also recorded 6 boards, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
Clark would not be outdone, though, as she logged a double-double with 10 assists along with 3 rebounds, 1 steal to lead her team to a 98-87 victory.
The Fever’s next game is on Tuesday against the Toronto Tempo, on what would be the second of five straight on the road. With the hot streak Clark is on, she’s making a case for why she should be considered league MVP alongside the likes of A’ja Wilson.
