‘I Was Scared’ — WNBA Champion Lexie Brown Reveals She Got Death Threats Amid Klay Thompson-Megan Thee Stallion Cheating Drama

2021 WNBA champ Lexie Brown calls out Klay Thompson and Meg Thee Stallion after getting dragged into their controversy.

The bombshell Klay Thompson-Megan Thee Stallion appears well on its way to dominating headlines for another week straight despite the NBA being bang in the middle of the playoffs.

After the uber-popular rapper accused the future Hall of Fame guard of cheating, Megan Thee Stallion went on an unfiltered rant on Instagram, all but announcing that the power couple was done with their relationship.

Lexie Brown Speaks Out on Klay Thompson-Meg Thee Stallion Controversy

Supposed social media accounts claimed that the third person in the equation was 2021 WNBA champion Lexie Brown.

On April 27, Brown was quick to shut down the rumors and mentioned that her focus was on the start of the 2026 season with the Storm.

Brown, who won a championship with the Chicago Sky, gave her side of the story in an interview with Fox News.

“I had a game to focus on, and I quite literally did not have time to handle that, and in the back of my mind, knowing 100% what was being said was false, that surely somebody would step in and say, ‘No, this is a lie. Please point your fingers somewhere else or don’t point them at all. But don’t point them at Lexie,” she said.

Brown added that between Thompson and Stallion, she’s the only one who has completely denied her involvement in the controversy.

“The fact that I’m still the only one that is defending my name, I just have no idea how to process that, and that’s the last thing that I’m struggling to process is that there’s this massive outcry for protecting Black women and nobody has mentioned Lexie Brown’s name in any of those conversations.”

The 2021 WNBA champ claims the situation escalated so much that she was forced to look out for her own safety after getting death threats.

“I was getting threats on my life. I was getting threats on my health,” Brown said. “My family started getting comments and threats from people. I’ve had to hire security to travel with me places. So it got to a point where I was scared for myself.”

In a statement to TMZ, Meg Thee Stallion later confirmed that she had broken up with Thompson.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity,” she said.

Thompson hasn’t directly addressed his ex-girlfriend’s allegations or issued a public statement as of April 29, but his Instagram Live appearance made clear that he isn’t planning to let this break him down either.
