Tyreek Hill Sparks Reunion Possibility With Patrick Mahomes

On a Snapchat clip obtained by an X (formerly Twitter) user named @MLFootball, a fan had posted a comment saying to Hill, “I miss you at KC Reek.”

Hill then responded, “We’ll see what happens in the offseason.” Hill’s response doesn’t explicitly say that he will return to the Chiefs, but it does open up a possibility.

Per PFSN’s Offense Impact Metric, Hill’s Miami Dolphins ranked No. 19 overall with a 73 impact score during the 2025 regular season. The Dolphins finished 7-10 on the season and missed the playoffs, helping lead to the firing of head coach Mike McDaniel on Thursday.

Since Hill was traded from the Chiefs in March 2022, Kansas City’s offense has not looked the same. Although the Chiefs managed to win and appear in Super Bowls since Hill’s departure, the offense has still been devoid of that old electricity.

Just like the Dolphins, the Chiefs missed the playoffs this season.

Where Are the Futures of Hill and Mahomes?

Both stars are recovering from major knee injuries, and along with Hill, Mahomes himself sparked some buzz of a possible reunion on social media.

The Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade, officially being eliminated from postseason contention in the same Week 15 loss to the Chargers during which Mahomes suffered his season-ending torn ACL.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins never recovered offensively after Hill went down with his gruesome season-ending injury in Week 4 against the Jets. Mahomes shared two pictures on Tuesday in his X account. Although he did caption his post with a clock emoji, he did not use any words.

The first picture showed the quarterback with his head down while walking off the football field. The second photo was much more optimistic, capturing a rushing touchdown celebration.

Just minutes after Mahomes’ post, Hill posted two images of himself on X, one screaming, and another one with his helmet on. He captioned his post “Loading.”

Mahomes had a pretty solid year despite Kansas City’s tough Super Bowl hangover season. Per PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, the quarterback finished with a 77 (C+) score. In addition, he threw 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the season before going down with a torn ACL.

However, the offense for Kansas City has lacked its old X factor. A potential reunion between Hill and Mahomes would instantly spark the Chiefs attack.

The Dolphins’ immediate future remains uncertain due to the pending arrival of a new general manager and head coach, and Kansas City will have a long offseason after a drastic and sudden fall from dominance.

Potential Mutual Benefit Exists in Possible Hill-Mahomes Reunion

Given each team’s current circumstances, both sides could benefit should the opportunity arise for Hill and Mahomes to suit up together again. For now, everything remains speculation.

However, considering the timing of the social media posts, there seems to be a deliberate intent to get fans buzzing about the possibilities.
