The NFL Draft green room is filled with players and their families anxiously waiting for their dreams to come true—an exciting yet high-pressure atmosphere.
A now-viral clip shows how Travis Hunter eased his nerves on draft day, offering a relatable moment for young fans as the Jaguars’ first-round pick found a lighthearted way to handle the tension.
Hunter Plays Clash of Clans During Draft Day
Clash of Clans launched back in 2012, and has become one of the most iconic mobile games of this generation.
Supercell, the company that created the game, has claimed that Clash of Clans has reached heights of 150 million monthly players. The game has a worldwide player base, and outside of the United States, it is also extremely popular in countries such as India, China, and Germany.

A clip shared to X by Dov Kleiman shows Hunter in the 2025 NFL Draft green room with his phone open to a Clash of Clans screen briefly before he closes out of the game. “Travis really is one of us,” the video caption reads.
Hunter is already the most popular player in his draft class according to NFL Shop, who announced Hunter had the No. 1 best-selling jersey of any 2025 NFL Draft prospect.
His newest viral moment certainly won’t hurt his PR efforts, as young fans are rejoicing at the fact that the NFL’s newest star likes to play the same games as them in his spare time off the field.
Jaguars Drafted a Game-Changer in Hunter
Hunter may have taken a moment to play video games on draft night, but make no mistake—the game he’s truly focused on is football.
The Jaguars didn’t just draft Hunter in the first round; they went all-in to get him, trading up to the No. 2 overall pick in a deal with the Cleveland Browns. Jacksonville gave up the No. 5 pick, a second-rounder (No. 36), a fourth-rounder (No. 126), and their 2026 first-round pick. In return, they received Cleveland’s No. 2 pick, a fourth-rounder (No. 104), and a sixth-rounder (No. 200).
The Jaguars were the perfect landing spot for Hunter, not just because of their commitment, but because they’ve built a detailed plan around his unprecedented goal: playing both wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL.
“From a scheduling standpoint, we have it all laid out, but we also have to be agile and fluid,” said head coach Liam Coen via Colorado On SI. “If we feel like he didn’t get enough work on one side of the ball the previous day, we’ll adjust to make sure he gets those reps the next day.”
Jaguars GM James Gladstone added that the team evaluated Hunter as a first-round talent at both positions and is fully invested in helping him succeed as a two-way player.
Hunter is coming off one of the most remarkable college football seasons in history. He won the Heisman Trophy for his dominant two-way play at Colorado, finishing with 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and a program-record 15 receiving touchdowns, along with four interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and a forced fumble on defense.
The Jaguars are getting a rare talent capable of taking over games on either side of the ball. And beyond his on-field impact, Hunter brings major star power. His Instagram following tops two million—more than double the Jaguars’ official account—and he’s sure to draw national attention as one of the most high-profile rookies in recent memory.
As he enters his rookie season, Hunter is aiming to reward Jacksonville’s bold investment and do something no player has accomplished in the modern NFL. That’s a heavy burden for a young player—but if anyone’s built for it, it’s Travis Hunter.
Because even as he chases history, he’s still just a kid at heart—sneaking in a little Clash of Clans on the biggest night of his life. And that’s exactly what makes him so easy to root for.
