Terry McLaurin has had a frustrating 2025 NFL season with the Washington Commanders so far. He was forced to miss four games earlier in the season due to a quad injury, and after returning in Week 8, he is again dealing with the same issue.
Terry McLaurin Injury Update for Week 11
McLaurin initially injured his quad in a Week 3 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He was then forced to miss the Commanders’ next four games as he recovered, but he made his return against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
He was unable to get through the full game before re-injuring his quad, which required medical attention on the sidelines.
The star wide receiver has totaled 13 receptions on 21 targets for 203 receiving yards this year as he continues to battle through his quad injury. He also scored his first touchdown of the season last week and appeared to be trending back in the right direction, so the re-injury is even more devastating.

In his absence, Deebo Samuel is expected to fill in as the primary passing target for quarterback Jayden Daniels. They acquired him during the offseason to add depth to their wide receivers, but his role has been expanded by McLaurin’s health issues. He has been relatively solid with his new team, currently ranking as the 27th-ranked player in his position on PFSN’s Impact Rankings this year.
With injuries to players like Austin Ekeler, Jayden Daniels, and Terry McLaurin, the Commanders have a record of 3-7 heading into Week 11. They will play the Miami Dolphins in Week 11, in what will be another challenging game for them.
Marcus Mariota will be the Commanders’ quarterback in Daniels’ absence, and based on PFSN’s QB Impact metric, he is the 20th-ranked quarterback in the league this season.
Washington Commanders’ Insights for Week 11
Team: Washington has only played one game in Europe, a 27-27 tie against Cincinnati in London during the 2016 season.
QB: Marcus Mariota has had a QBi grade of C or better in four of five games this season. His 79.3 (C+) against the Lions in Week 10 was his second-best score.
Offense: Washington didn’t turn over the ball in the loss to the Lions to snap a streak of seven straight games with a turnover.
Defense: The Commanders have allowed 35.8 PPG during their five-game losing streak. They allowed at least 25 first-half points in three of the games.
Fantasy: Deebo Samuel scored the short touchdown, but this is an offense to avoid. He was unable to out-earn Treylon Burks and Robbie Chosen in a meaningful way, making everyone in this offense a tough sell once Terry McLaurin returns.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt is the lead back in a name only: he only has two games with multiple receptions this year and isn’t featured enough to make the Derrick Henry profile work.
