Retired NFL players we’d absolutely love to see return to the league

WR Randy Moss, Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings looked to be a franchise quarterback away from a Super Bowl appearance. After signing Kirk Cousins, maybe they need another weapon.

Randy Moss’ career in Minnesota helped set the tone on his way to a Hall of Fame career. Drafted with the 21st selection out of Marshall, the six-foot-four wideout shattered records the moment he arrived. During his rookie season, Moss caught 17 touchdowns, setting a new record for a first-year player. In seven seasons with the Vikings, Moss finished with double-digit touchdowns six times.

Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen are perhaps the league’s top receiving duo heading into the season. Outside of that, the Vikings are lost at receiver. Laquon Treadwell could be out of a job following training camp while the depth behind him isn’t promising. Imagine the young Moss paired with these two. Can you say Super Bowl? You’d better.

Moss is now 42-years-old and well past his glory days. Still, it’s hard to imagine an athlete of his skillset completely losing the mark. The Vikings have a top 10 defense and a substantial arsenal for the coming seasons. Moss would likely be the No.3 option but still could be a factor on offense.

Honorable Mention: WR Chad Ochocinco

Listen, there’s plenty of players I’d love to see return but no more than Chad Ochocinco. Here’s the thing; the only place I’d want him is in Oakland. Just imagine that locker room for five seconds; Jon Gruden, Antonio Brown, Vontaze Burfict, Richie Incognito and then number 85.

Thank me later people. The Raiders would sell out every game if this masterpiece takes place.
