Josh Allen didn’t win the NFL’s MVP award last season, but most would still regard the Buffalo Bills quarterback as one of the league’s best players. In fact, we now have evidence to prove it.
In the NFL’s top 100 rankings list, players voted Allen as the second-best player in the league. Yet, many on social media don’t agree with that ranking, and now they’re making it known on social media.

Players are the ones who determine the rankings for the NFL’s top 100 list. But not every player in the league gets a vote, so sometimes these turn out a bit wonky.
Nevertheless, this year’s results are in, and Allen came in at No. 2. Yet, as noted, not everyone agrees with that placement.
One commenter on X suggested that Allen being ranked second is “undeserved.” They also accused the league of doing some public relations work for the Bills QB.

“When will this Josh Allen PR end? So underserved,” the fan said on X.
Another listed some of Allen’s accomplishments (or lack thereof) as reasons why he shouldn’t rank No. 2 this year.
“So, let me get this straight — Didn’t win MVP -Didn’t win division — Didn’t even make an All-Pro team — Didn’t make it past the Divisional Round and committed 4 turnovers; nice NFL,” the fan wrote.

Meanwhile, another reaction kept up with the previous approach and continued listing all the things that Allen didn’t do or hasn’t accomplished in recent years.

One astute commenter pointed out that the only people standing up for the Bills QB were his teammates.
“He had no one else other than his teammates talk about how special he is??? 😭😭 FAKE (expletive) AWARD,” the fan posted on X.

Another was quick to give Allen some credit for being second-best, but he took a backhanded dig at him for being “nothing more.”
“It all comes full circle,” the user wrote. “Second-best player in the league. Second to Mahomes. Second in the AFC at best. Second-best QB in the league at best. Josh Allen is always second, nothing more.”

Meanwhile, one commenter simply said that Allen’s high ranking is “laughable at this point🤣🤣🤣.”
Meanwhile, ‘DomThePatsFan’ said that even Allen’s MVP award was a “Mickey Mouse MVP,” and now the same is true of his NFL top-100 ranking.

Another suggested that Allen has “No ring, no Super Bowl appearance, no championship won, no MVP, lots of flops.” The user also shared a video of Allen falling down to the ground during games.

Yet, perhaps the best reaction came when a commenter called Allen the “Caitlin Clark for the NFL.”

Allen’s PFN QB Impact Score graded him as the NFL’s ninth-best QB last season, with a grade of 80.3. That certainly doesn’t imply that he was the league’s second-best player.
Yet, despite the criticism he’s taking on social media, anyone who watches the Bills can tell you they wouldn’t be nearly as successful if it weren’t for their MVP QB. He’s the reason they’ve made seven consecutive playoff appearances.
The Bills will only go as far as he can lead them. Last year, that meant being eliminated in the AFC Divisional Round with a tough three-point loss to the Denver Broncos. Now armed with a new head coach after Joe Brady was promoted from offensive coordinator, it looks like Allen will have to be much sharper to live up to his ranking in 2026.
