The Los Angeles Rams wrap up their 2025 NFL regular season schedule with a home game against the Arizona Cardinals. Quarterback Matthew Stafford and head coach Sean McVay now have their eyes toward the postseason.

After their win over the Cardinals, the Rams finished the season with a 12-5 record.

What Are the Rams’ Playoff Scenarios?

After their win in Week 18, the Rams are the fifth seed in the NFC. They broke their two-game losing streak against the Cardinals, who were just playing out the string. Los Angeles lost to the Seattle Seahawks 38-37, then suffered a 27-24 setback on the road at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the Falcons before their win over the Cardinals.

The Rams will now face the NFC South champion, the Carolina Panthers, in the Wild Card round. Before the game, according to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, Los Angeles had a 75.60% chance to finish as the NFC’s fifth seed.

A loss today would have kept them as the sixth seed, which is not an ideal spot, as they would have had to travel to either Chicago or Philadelphia for the Wild Card round.

Los Angeles has had to put things together in a very tough NFC West Division this season. On Saturday night, the Seahawks defeated the 49ers, securing the division title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The Rams’ offense has been pretty potent at times. Behind Stafford, the Rams are averaging 269.1 yards passing per game, which puts Los Angeles second in that category. As for the Rams’ run game, they’re averaging 125.6 yards on the ground per game.

With Stafford calling the plays, the Rams are entering the NFL playoffs with a truly potent offense. According to the PFSN NFL QB Impact Metric, Stafford has an impact score of 82.8 and grades out to a B-.

Coming into Week 18, Stafford had a 62.5% pass completion average and had thrown for 4,448 yards with 42 touchdown passes against just eight interceptions, showing plenty of ability to keep the Rams’ offense on schedule this season.

Don’t expect Stafford to be a run threat at all, though. He’ll leave that work to running back Kyren Williams, who, according to the PFSN NFL RB Impact Metric, has an impact score of 83.8 and grades out to a B. Williams has 247 carries for 1,192 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Of course, the Rams’ receiving corps is led by elite wide receiver Puka Nacua, who, according to the PFSN NFL WR Impact Metric, has an impact score of 98.2 and grades out to an A+. Nacua has 119 receptions for 1,639 yards and nine touchdowns.

Look for Nacua, Stafford, Williams, and the entire Rams’ offense to be locked and loaded for the NFL playoffs.
