NFL Fans React to Larry Fitzgerald’s Hall of Fame Speech

Larry Fitzgerald was always great on the football field, so to no one’s surprise, when it was time to step up to the microphone for his induction speech, Fitzgerald killed it.

“Gonna be tough for the Class of 2026 to top this Hall of Fame speech from Larry Fitzgerald,” said Saints writer Chris Rosvoglou.

Fitzgerald even drew comparisons to Barack Obama for his ability to deliver inspiring speeches.

“Larry Fitzgerald is giving an Obama-level speech rn,” said one social media personality.

Fitzgerald is a Hall of Famer, and no one can take that away from him right now. Statistically, he’s one of the best receivers ever and has a claim for the best hands in NFL history.

“Larry Fitzgerald has more tackles than dropped passes….What a legend!!” said former NFL QB Chase Daniel.

The Cardinals legend made sure to weave in a hilarious dig at Hall of Famer Cris Carter, who played a big role in Fitzgerald’s life and development as a mentor.

“Uncle Cris, since we got all them pleasantries out the way, I hope we both can agree my hands have always been better than yours,” said Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald always graded out well in all of PFN’s metrics. He owns two top-5 seasons in his long career, with eight of his 17 seasons classified as elite with a PFN WR Impact grade over 80. His highest grade, 90.5, earned him a legendary classification in 2008.

Fitzgerald wasn’t a stranger to the NFL before he was eventually drafted by the Cardinals. Cardinals head coach at the time, Dennis Green, took a chance on Fitzgerald and made one of the best draft picks in franchise history.

But Green and Fitzgerald knew each other before their time with the Cardinals. As the head coach of the Vikings, Green brought Fitzgerald on as a ball boy during Fitzgerald’s teenage years. Fitzgerald moved on to talk about his relationship with the legendary Randy Moss, which began during his time with the Minnesota Vikings.

It was a special day for the Fitzgerald family as Larry’s son, Devin, got the honor of inducting Larry into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Larry addressed everyone in his family on his laundry list of people he thanked, capping off a memorable speech that encapsulated his NFL career.
