Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season has wrapped up. There have been many major storylines to begin the year, including the uptick in big special teams plays, the Baltimore Ravens’ slow start, and the resurgence of Daniel Jones. The latter speaks to the unpredictable quarterback landscape the league has seen through the first few weeks.
PFSN has you covered with your QB rankings for the 2025 season, as our QBi metric puts a numerical value on how each back performs every week. Note that these rankings only include the four games played this year, not any previous games. Some consensus top quarterbacks may rank lower than usual, while a few surprise names appear in the top ten. With Week 4 in the rearview mirror, let’s rank the top 37 quarterbacks in the NFL after another week of play.
37) Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 42.4 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 37
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jake Browning finds himself still in last place among qualified quarterbacks in the QBi rankings. He didn’t throw any interceptions in Week 4, but he had just 125 passing yards with no touchdowns and a sub-60% completion rate in the Cincinnati Bengals’ loss to the Broncos on Monday night.
Having not scored on Monday, Browning is still one of just four QBs on this list with more interceptions than touchdowns. His -0.44 EPA per dropback trails just J.J. McCarthy as the lowest in the NFL after Week 4.
36) Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 50.4 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 36
Of the 25 quarterbacks who have played in all four games to start the 2025 NFL season, Cam Ward has the second-fewest passing yards behind Jalen Hurts. What Ward doesn’t have in common with Hurts, though, is a high completion percentage, a low turnover rate, and a strong win-loss record.
Having been drafted by the worst team in football last year, 2025 was always going to be a learning curve for Ward. But he ranks dead last among qualified QBs with 4.0 net yards per attempt, and his -0.29 EPA per dropback ranks 33rd in the league.
35) J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 53.8 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 35
J.J. McCarthy missed Week 4 due to an ankle sprain. His QBi grade doesn’t change this week.
34) Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 54.2 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 34
After their upset win over the Packers in Week 3, the Cleveland Browns fell back down to Earth on Sunday with their Week 4 loss to the Lions. Joe Flacco’s poor play didn’t help much, as he threw two interceptions and no touchdowns with a 47.1% completion percentage.

Through four games, Flacco has thrown just two passing touchdowns and six interceptions. His -0.32 EPA per dropback is the lowest of any four-game starting QB in the NFL, and he’s reached the 60% completion mark just once in the first four games he’s started.
33) Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 58.3 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 31
Coming off an impressive 30-0 win over the Falcons last week, the Carolina Panthers dropped off tremendously after their 42-13 loss to the Patriots in Week 4. As the score would indicate, Bryce Young wasn’t the main reason they lost that game, but he certainly didn’t elevate the team, either.
Young has thrown for fewer than 160 passing yards in three of his first four games. He has a negative EPA per dropback at -0.12 and is tied with Joe Flacco for the second-fewest net yards per attempt among four-game starting QBs.
32) Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 59.1 (F)
Last Week’s Ranking: 32
With the return of Justin Fields into the New York Jets’ lineup, Tyrod Taylor remains in the same place in PFSN’s QBi rankings.
31) Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 63.7 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 30
Jayden Daniels missed Week 4 due to a knee injury he suffered the week before. His QBi grade remains the same, while he drops a spot in the rankings due to movement elsewhere at the quarterback position.
30) Russell Wilson, New York Giants
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 63.9 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 28
Russell Wilson got benched in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart for the New York Giants’ Week 4 matchup, and head coach Brian Daboll says that will remain the case for the rest of the season.
29) C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 65.5 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 33
Though it’s been a rough start for C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans as a whole, they were able to put some encouraging play together in their 26-0 win over the Titans on Sunday, which gave them their first win of the 2025 NFL season.
It was Stroud’s best game of the year by far, as he threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions with a 78.6% completion percentage and a 125.1 passer rating. Sunday marked his first game this season with a triple-digit passer rating, and got him back to having more touchdowns than interceptions in total for the year.
28) Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 67.1 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 26
The New Orleans Saints are 0-4 to start the year, and it’s hardly a start that’s surprised many thus far. Spencer Rattler has generally been better than expected as their starting quarterback this year, but that hardly means much considering how low expectations were to begin with.
Rattler has played inoffensively through four games, throwing just one interception to his five passing touchdowns. But he’s averaging just 4.8 net yards per attempt, generally showcasing his lack of big-play ability within the Saints’ offense this year.
27) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.7 (D)
Last Week’s Ranking: 27
Due to a strong running game and an effective defense, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a 3-1 record to start the 2025 NFL season. They’re very lucky they have those things to fall back on, because Trevor Lawrence has not been very good to start the year.
His 67.7% completion rate in their win over the 49ers on Sunday was respectable, but he’s still at an abysmal 58.3% percentage this season. He’s one of seven QBs to have started four games and still have a negative EPA per dropback average.
26) Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.7 (D+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 25
Due to Joe Burrow’s turf toe injury, it’s expected that the Cincinnati Bengals’ star quarterback will be out of action for the next three months. He missed Week 4 as a result.
25) Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.2 (C-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 23
An incredible 80-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf did a lot of the heavy lifting for Aaron Rodgers in Week 4, as he otherwise threw for just 120 yards on his 21 other passing attempts. Still, he completed 81.8% of his passes and helped lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to victory.
Wanted to take a look at the 80-yard DK Metcalf TD again.
Pre-snap motion clears out space, and that motion also forces #Vikings LB Eric Wilson to fan out just enough. Window created for Aaron Rodgers. Metcalf does the rest.
Great effort by Calvin Austin III at the end, too. pic.twitter.com/wkyltvy4O9
— Josh Carney (@ByJoshCarney) September 29, 2025
A key component to Rodgers’ improving his grade would be better efficiency on third downs. With a conversion rate of just 25.7%, only Cam Ward has a lower percentage among healthy starting QBs to begin the year.
24) Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.2 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 14
Despite ranking eighth in the NFL before MNF with 948 passing yards, Geno Smith finds himself free-falling down the QBi list after Week 4. He threw for just 117 yards in the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss to the Bears on Sunday, tallying two touchdowns but also throwing three brutal interceptions.
As of this writing, Smith now leads the league in interceptions with seven through four games. His poor outing against Chicago dropped his EPA per dropback into the negative range, despite a strong start to the year a few weeks ago.
23) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.5 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 16
It hasn’t quite been the start the Arizona Cardinals wanted out of their passing attack, particularly with inconsistency in the chemistry between Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. Even independent from that, though, Murray has been hit or miss to start 2025.
Murray threw two interceptions on Thursday in the Cardinals’ loss to the Seahawks. They’ve been competitive in all four games they’ve played this season, but it’s no coincidence their two losses have come with rough games from Murray, whereas the wins have been accompanied by solid QB play.
22) Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.1 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 29
The turnaround for Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons was impressive in Week 4. After getting shut out by the Panthers last week, they came back on Sunday with a 34-point outing, in which Penix threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns.
Week 3 was particularly brutal for Penix, and his first season as a starting QB in the NFL hasn’t come without its bumps in the road. That said, an explosive performance like what he did in Atlanta’s win over the Commanders was exactly what he needed at this point in the season.
21) Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.3 (C)
Last Week’s Ranking: 8
Baker Mayfield threw his first interception of the season in Week 4, which speaks to how well he’s played for most of the year. However, he completed just 55.0% of his passes in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ narrow loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
With an 8-1 TD-INT ratio, Mayfield has played pretty smart football this year. He also has the second-highest EPA per dropback under pressure in the NFL at 0.1. But he has had two games with sub-60% completion rates, which need to be improved if he is to return to the top ten in QBi grading.
20) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.0 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 21
As the winners of three straight games, things are looking up for Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks. He threw for 242 yards with a touchdown and a 111.4 passer rating in their Thursday night win over the Cardinals.
Before MNF, Darnold leads the NFL with 8.7 net yards per attempt. His ability to stretch the field is significantly aiding the Seahawks. Even if he’s not particularly elite in any of the other analytical categories mentioned thus far in these rankings, he ranges from average to above average in just about all of them.
19) Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.2 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 15
Carson Wentz saw his workload increase from 20 attempts in Week 3 to 46 attempts in Week 4. As one might expect for a backup quarterback, the results were mixed. He threw for two touchdowns and 350 yards, but he also threw two interceptions and failed to secure the win for the Minnesota Vikings.
Through his two starts in relief of J.J. McCarthy, Wentz ranks in the top half of the league in net yards per attempt, EPA per dropback, and EPA in a clean pocket. He’s hardly an impact player at this stage of his career, but he’s proven to be plenty capable filling in off the bench.
18) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.4 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 19
Sunday marked the best game of Patrick Mahomes’ 2025 season thus far. He threw for 270 yards, four touchdowns with no interceptions, and a 124.8 passer rating in the Kansas City Chiefs’ blowout win over the Ravens.

— Nick Jacobs (@Jacobs71) September 29, 2025
After losing each of his first two starts, it’s been encouraging to see Mahomes and the Chiefs pick themselves back up and win their last two games. If he continues to improve his completion percentage, he’ll likely find his way into the top ten in QBi grading at some point this year, given his talent.
17) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 77.7 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 6
After a tremendous 3-0 start, few could have expected the Los Angeles Chargers to experience their first loss at the hands of the Giants. But that’s exactly what happened on Sunday, and Justin Herbert doesn’t come out of that game without any blame.
Having thrown two interceptions with a 56.1% completion percentage against New York, Herbert’s QBi grade took a pretty big hit in Week 4. He’s still generally been very good in 2025 thus far, but his last game was a step in the wrong direction.
16) Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 78.3 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 24
Bo Nix had a great opportunity to rebound from a slow start by facing a porous Bengals defense on Monday night. Though he threw an interception, he also threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns with a 69.0% completion percentage.
From his 16th ranking in passing yards to his 17th ranking in EPA per dropback, Nix is just about average in every passing category, traditional or analytical. It makes sense, then, that his QBi is about middle of the pack.
15) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 78.7 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 13
From a sheer volume perspective, Jalen Hurts hasn’t been asked to do as much for the Philadelphia Eagles this year. He ranks last among healthy starting QBs in passing yards and has only surpassed 160 passing yards in one of four games. Still, he finds himself in the top dozen of QBi grades after Week 4.
Hurts has nine total touchdowns from scrimmage and has yet to throw an interception. He has a respectable 69.5% completion rate, and he holds the fifth-best third-down conversion percentage in the NFL at 45.7%. That reliability has helped the Eagles to a 4-0 record to begin the season.
14) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 78.7 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 9
Caleb Williams drops out of the top ten coming out of Week 4, but he doesn’t fall very far. He threw an interception but still had a touchdown and led the Chicago Bears to six different scoring drives in their win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Most notably, Williams ranks third in the NFL with 0.99 EPA per dropback near the end of the first half. That speaks to his ability to string together a strong drive heading into halftime. He otherwise ranges from average to above average in every other major statistical category.
13) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 79.8 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 18
He may have lost Tyreek Hill due to injury, but Tua Tagovailoa comes out of the Miami Dolphins’ Monday night win over the Jets as a big winner. He threw for two touchdowns and a 68.0% completion percentage while avoiding throwing an interception for the first game in his 2025 season thus far.
Tagovailoa is working with a strong 69.3% completion percentage for the whole season, and accuracy has typically been his strong suit during his time in the NFL. He’s also surpassed a 110.0 passer rating in two of his games this season, bouncing back well from his brutal Week 1 outing against the Colts.
12) Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.1 (C+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 11
With Brock Purdy’s return to the starting lineup, Mac Jones didn’t play in Week 4 for the San Francisco 49ers. Nonetheless, he was a capable fill-in option when Purdy was hurt.
11) Justin Fields, New York Jets
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 81.4 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 20
Justin Fields made his return to the field on Monday night, and he helped keep the New York Jets competitive in what ended up being a loss to the Dolphins. He threw for 226 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions, and he also ran for 81 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
In his own way, Fields has proven to be quite efficient as the starter of the Jets. Granted, that hasn’t resulted in wins yet, but he has five touchdowns from scrimmage and no interceptions in the three games he’s played thus far. He’s hardly the reason his team is off to this slow of a start.
10) Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 81.6 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 22
A massive riser up the QBi rankings in Week 4, Matthew Stafford enters MNF with the second-most passing yards in the NFL through four games at 1,114. On Sunday, he threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns in the Los Angeles Rams’ win over the Colts.
Stafford has a dead-even zero EPA per dropback, but he’s made good decisions with the ball this season. His 7.9 net yards per attempt rank fourth in the NFL after four games, and he’s currently tied for third with eight passing touchdowns.
9) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 82.8 (B-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 17
The new NFL leader in passing yards, Dak Prescott, earned a top-ten QBi grade after the Dallas Cowboys’ overtime shootout with the Packers, which ended in a tie on Sunday night.
With 319 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, Prescott helped command the Cowboys’ offense and keep them competitive, despite their defensive inconsistency. So far this season, his 0.06 EPA per pressured dropback is the third-best in the NFL through four games.
8) Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.5 (B)
Last Week’s Ranking: 10
The Washington Commanders losing their starting quarterback felt like a death sentence, but their offense has still been effective with Marcus Mariota stepping into the lineup. In his two starts, they’ve combined for 68 points scored.
Though he has a smaller sample size than other QBs, Mariota still leads the NFL with 0.51 EPA per dropback under pressure. His 0.31 EPA per regular dropback also ranks first in the league. His play has been strong in the absence of Jayden Daniels.
7) Drake Maye, New England Patriots
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.5 (B)
Last Week’s Ranking: 12
It’s early in the season, but Drake Maye is looking like the star he showed he had the promise to become during his time at North Carolina. He leads all second-year QBs in QBi grading, and he’s coming off a stellar game against the Panthers, in which he threw two touchdowns with an 82.3% completion percentage.
Maye currently has nine total touchdowns to two interceptions through four games. He ranks in the top ten in such analytical categories as third-down conversion rate, net yards per attempt, EPA per dropback, and EPA per dropback in a clean pocket.
6) Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 86.5 (B)
Last Week’s Ranking: 3
An interception and a completion percentage of just 59.3% on Sunday sees Jared Goff fall out of the top five in QBi grading. Still, he threw for two touchdowns and commanded the Detroit Lions to a 34-10 win over the Browns.
Through four weeks, Goff ranks fourth in EPA per dropback in a clean pocket and seventh in EPA per dropback under pressure. Among four-game starting QBs, he has the highest EPA per dropback on the opponent’s side of the field at 0.65.
5) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 86.6 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 4
The Baltimore Ravens are off to a tough start to 2025, crawling out of Week 4 with a 1-3 record. A lot has gone wrong for them through their demanding schedule thus far, but they’ve at least been able to rely on Lamar Jackson to keep them competitive.
MORE: Josh Allen Edges Tua Tagovailoa in High-Stakes Battle as PFSN’s Metrics Reveal Untold Story
Heading into MNF, Jackson leads the NFL with ten passing touchdowns and has only one interception in four games. He’s surpassed the 70% completion mark in three of his first four matchups, and he’s still at a steady rushing pace that would see him finish a 17-game season with 706 rushing yards.
4) Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 88.2 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 7
Going into MNF, Jordan Love is one of just five quarterbacks with 1,000 passing yards to begin the 2025 season. He’s been strong to start the year, and he arguably had his best game to date in his 337-yard, three-touchdown outing against the Cowboys on Sunday night.
In a clean pocket, Love is far and away the most efficient QB this year with 0.69 EPA per dropback. He’s thrown eight touchdowns to just one interception, and his 113.0 passer rating is tied for second in the NFL.
3) Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.0 (B+)
Last Week’s Ranking: 2
After missing Weeks 2 and 3 due to injury, Brock Purdy made his return in Week 4 against the Jaguars. Though he was unable to lead the San Francisco 49ers to victory, there were still plenty of positives to take away from his performance.
Purdy has thrown four interceptions in two games, but he’s also thrown four touchdown passes and is averaging a stellar 293 passing yards per game. His 0.58 EPA per dropback in a clean pocket ranks second in the NFL, and he leads the league with a 60.0% third-down conversion rate.
2) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 90.8 (A-)
Last Week’s Ranking: 5
The Buffalo Bills are undefeated through four games, and they’ve scored 30 points or more in every one of their games. A big part of that offensive explosion has been the strong play of reigning MVP Josh Allen, who is one of just two quarterbacks with an A- QBi grade or higher through four weeks.
Allen has scored ten touchdowns to just one interception through four games. He’s third among all QBs in rushing, he’s third in EPA per dropback, and his 1.51 clutch sum is the highest of any quarterback in the NFL.
1) Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 95.6 (A)
Last Week’s Ranking: 1
Though the Indianapolis Colts lost their first game of the 2025 season on Sunday, Daniel Jones still showed up and put together a solid performance. He completed 72.7% of his passes and finished with 262 passing yards, getting him over the 1,000-yard mark through just four games.
Consistent all across the board, Jones is a top performer in just about every analytical category that PFSN has. Among many others, he ranks in the top five in EPA per dropback, third-down conversion rate, net yards per attempt, EPA per rush, EPA per dropback under pressure, and clutch sum.
