The Chicago Bears have pulled off the impossible to extend their thriller against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional round game.
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed an impossible touchdown pass to tight end Cole Kmet. While Williams is being praised online, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons had some words for the defensive back who gave up the play.
What did Micah Parsons have to say?
Micah Parsons, like most of the NFL world, was in utter shock after an incredible fourth-down touchdown that forced this Rams-Bears game into overtime. However, Parsons took a dig at the defensive back who gave up the impossible play.
“Somebody gotta check that db phone!” Parsons posted on X shortly after the play.

The Bears seemed to be down for the count before the 4th and 4 play. Chicago had driven down to the Rams’ 14-yard line with just 18 seconds left to play.
As soon as the ball was snapped, Caleb Williams immediately faced pressure from multiple Rams defensive linemen. Williams ran all the way back to the 40-yard line before throwing a fade-away-type throw into the corner of the endzone.
Somehow, tight end Cole Kmet found himself open while Rams cornerback Cobie Durant was turned around, seemingly not aware the ball was headed his way. Soldier Field exploded as the Bears tied the game and forced the match into overtime at 17 apiece.
Williams is no stranger to impossible throws to extend games. Last week in their 31-27 Wild Card win over rival Green Bay Packers, Williams converted a 27-yard pass late on a 4th and 8 to wide receiver Rome Odunze.
That drive ended with a touchdown to cut the Packers’ lead to three points, then the Packers took the lead for good on the next offensive drive.
This season has been a significant improvement under first-year head coach Ben Johnson. Last season, the Bears’ offense received a 66.1 offensive impact score, according to PFSN’s Offensive Impact ratings (OFFi). That ranked 30th in the league. This season, Johnson has led the Bears to a much-improved 79.5 OFFi, which ranks 10th in the NFL.
Regardless of the outcome of this game, the Bears will have an exciting offense to watch for years to come with Johnson and Williams at the helm.
