It’s been a brutal day for the Minnesota Vikings, who are playing the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
The Vikings have lost starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy to a hand injury, leaving the Minnesota offense in Max Brosmer’s hands. Then, wide receiver Jordan Addison was forced out of the game.
What’s Happening With Vikings WR Jordan Addison?
After going over to the Vikings’ sidelines, Addison was seen walking with Vikings medical personnel. It appeared that Addison might have been headed toward the Vikings’ locker room. He came off the field limping, and there’s no immediate update on his condition.
Addison hasn’t been the most productive player, largely due to the poor quarterback play he’s had to deal with this season. However, he remains a viable Flex option in fantasy due to his talent.

If Addison can’t return, Jalen Nailor would pick up the slack. He had a surprisingly big game last week. Just don’t expect a repeat of that, or really anything close with Max Brosmer at quarterback. This entire team is a situation to avoid in fantasy.
Addison dropped what looked like a sure touchdown pass from McCarthy earlier in Sunday’s game. In the third quarter, Minnesota did hold a 13-10 lead over the Giants, though.

According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Addison is among the group with impact scores and grades. Before leaving Sunday’s game, Addison had two catches for 26 yards. For the season, the former USC Trojan has 39 catches for 576 yards and three touchdown catches.
Without Addison being in the game, that definitely takes away a potential wide receiving target from Brosme, who needs as many weapons as he can have as the game rolls along into the fourth quarter.
In two-plus seasons in the NFL, all with the Vikings, Addison has 172 receptions for 2,362 yards and 22 touchdown receptions. His longest TD catch was one of 81 yards, which took place earlier this season. Addison has proven to be pretty durable in his young NFL career, playing in a majority of the Vikings’ games during his tenure.
Addison, hopefully, will not miss much action if he is not able to return on Sunday. As for the Vikings, they are already looking toward next season.
