John Harbaugh Refuses To Rule Out Giants Signing Odell Beckham Jr.

John Harbaugh addressed rumors of an Odell Beckham Jr. return to the Giants, admitting the team will look at every option.

The New York Giants are embarking on a new course under John Harbaugh, and veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. could be part of that course. Harbaugh and the front office are hard at work, trying to build a roster that could contend in the NFC East, which has been dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles. With the offense in focus, many are wondering whether the Giants and Beckham Jr. will reunite.

Will the team pursue him this offseason?

John Harbaugh Leaves the Door Open for a Giants Reunion with Odell Beckham Jr.

The Giants had a tough 2025 campaign, transitioning from Russell Wilson to Jaxson Dart under center. With a young offense on hand, Harbaugh has to be smart about how to strategically build around the available pieces to ensure success. As such, balancing the young with another veteran presence seems plausible.

The head coach was asked about Beckham during a media session on Monday.

“‘If Odell is an option, we’ll be looking at it’ – John Harbaugh on a reunion with OBJ with the #Giants,” SNY’s Connor Hughes reported. “Said they will see how it all goes — what’s best for him & what’s best for #NYG. Said if he can help them be a better team, it’s something they will ‘pursue.'”

Beckham spent the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens (77.0 PFSN WR Impact), where he built a strong relationship with Harbaugh. The connection between the two could play a role if the decision reaches a tipping point.

“John Harbaugh on Odell Beckham: ‘One of my very favorite people in the world,'” ESPN’s Jordan Raanan posted. “Giants will ‘look at every option’ in regards to signing him. Harbaugh says they still talk and text. They’ll see if it makes sense for both sides as offseason goes along.”

The veteran should slot into a supporting role if New York picks him up. The Giants already have a deep receiving corps, featuring wideouts Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, and Darnell Mooney, and tight ends Isaiah Likely and Theo Johnson.

“John Harbaugh was asked about Odell Beckham Jr.: ‘We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world,'” SNY Giants posted. “On a possible Giants reunion: ‘The obvious pat answer would be you look at every option.'”

Beckham spent the most successful years of his NFL career with the Giants. After getting drafted by the franchise in 2014, he went on to become a superstar in the Big Apple, compiling 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns in five years.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the receiver dons Big Blue’s nostalgic colors again in 2026.
