Geno Smith has built an impressive NFL career and is now thriving in his 12th season as the quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders. Although fans have closely watched his professional journey, the veteran keeps his personal life largely out of public view.
He is reportedly married and also has a son. Here’s what we know about his family life and his wife, Hayley Eastham.
Who Is Geno Smith’s Wife, Hayley Eastham?
Smith is widely believed to be married to Hayley Eastham, with reports indicating the two have been together since their college days at West Virginia University. According to multiple outlets, the pair reportedly tied the knot in July 2015, although Smith has not publicly confirmed the details of their relationship.
Eastham studied law at WVU and, per her LinkedIn profile, currently works as a litigation managing associate at Dentons. While Smith has a son, Seven Santana Smith, from a previous relationship, Eastham has been involved in helping raise him.
She has reportedly been spotted supporting Smith throughout his NFL career, from his time with the Seattle Seahawks to his current run with the Raiders.
Seven was born in July 2019, and Smith posted about the moment on X, calling his son’s birth the “greatest day of my life.” His biological mother has not been publicly identified.
In 2021, Smith shared a photo of Seven during a trip to Disneyland, offering fans a rare glimpse into his otherwise private family life.
A Look at Smith’s NFL Career
Smith entered the league after four years at West Virginia, starting in his final three seasons and earning All-Big East honors in 2010 and 2011 thanks to his steady production.
His career began with the New York Jets, but inconsistency over his first two seasons led head coach Todd Bowles to replace him with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Smith eventually reclaimed the starting job in 2016, only for a torn ACL in the season opener to abruptly end his year.
Afterward, Smith spent time with several teams before finding a home in Seattle. He backed up Russell Wilson for three seasons before winning the starting job in 2022, edging out Drew Lock.
In his breakout year, he threw for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns, taking the Seahawks to the playoffs and earning NFL Comeback Player of the Year. He put up similar numbers over the next two seasons, though Seattle couldn’t return to that level of success.
The franchise moved on from Pete Carroll in 2024 and hired Mike Macdonald as head coach, a shift that ultimately signaled the closing chapter of Smith’s tenure with the Seahawks.

With one year left on his deal, the two-time Pro Bowler wanted a contract extension that paid him like one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like Seattle wanted to play ball, and as a result, they chose to ship him to the Raiders, who had shown immediate interest.
In nine games with the Raiders, Smith has thrown for 1,844 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, while completing 66.7% of his throws. According to PFSN’s QB Impact metric, he is currently the 24th-ranked quarterback in the league.
