A former collegiate wide receiver and fifth-round draft pick in 2024, Tyrone Tracy has proven his durability and dual-threat capability by successfully clearing 175 carries and 35 receptions in consecutive seasons. That baseline of production naturally catches the eye of fantasy football managers. However, the Giants’ front office aggressively reshaped this backfield during the offseason, bringing in veteran workhorse Najee Harris alongside the returning Devin Singletary. That is an enormous amount of NFL-caliber talent to overcome, making it incredibly difficult to envision what Tracy’s true ceiling role looks like, even if an unexpected increase in opportunity were to somehow open up.
Should I Draft Tyrone Tracy Jr. in Fantasy Football?
Further complicating matters is the presence of lead back Cam Skattebo, a complex case in his own right. While Skattebo is undeniably an injury flight risk given his hard-nosed running style and previous ankle issues, there is no denying that he offers juice that no one else in this RB room has and that’s going to keep him as the bellcow.
Even if Skatts were to go down with an injury, the resulting distribution of work between Tracy, Harris, and Singletary would be entirely unpredictable, so what exactly is the upside case here?

Beyond the logjam in the running back room, the structural layout of this offense severely limits Tracy’s touchdown upside. Jaxson Dart is highly mobile and will inevitably eat into the team’s rush equity near the goal line. When they do take to the air, Malik Nabers appears to be at full strength and is poised to command plenty of high-value looks in scoring position.
Not to mention, tight ends Isaiah Likely and Theo Johnson present tough, physical matchups for defenses on the absolute doorstep of the end zone. With so many significant roadblocks standing between him and reliable volume, Tracy’s risk outweighs the reward and is a player I’m happy to let sit on someone else’s bench.
