Bo Nix enters his third NFL season with an extremely solid baseline, having produced 25+ passing TDs and 350+ rushing yards in both of his professional campaigns. That consistency provides a high weekly floor, but it’s the potential for a third-year jump that makes him such an enticing target in fantasy drafts.
Should I Draft Bo Nix in Fantasy Football?
Sean Payton aggressively added to the weaponry this offseason, signaling belief in the man he has under center. The backfield brought in Jonah Coleman to add physical depth to the ground game, while the wide receiver room made a massive splash by rescuing Jaylen Waddle from Miami. Waddle’s elite speed and run-after-catch ability could change the entire complexion of this Denver offense, giving Nix an upgrade at WR1 and slotting the other pieces into spots in which they are more comfortable.
Beyond the upgraded supporting cast, we saw crucial signs of growth from Nix last season. He took just 22 sacks against 612 pass attempts in 2025, showing clear improvement after being sacked 24 times on 567 attempts as a rookie. Not settling for sacks is an underrated, hidden skill that keeps drives alive and ultimately gives us increased fantasy upside through sustained volume.

Because of that evolving efficiency combined with his rushing baseline, Nix is firmly a QB1 this season for me. Looking ahead to the fantasy playoffs, he goes head-to-head with Josh Allen and Drake Maye during the final two weeks of the season. At that crucial point, it’s very possible that he could be asked to win games in rare shootout environments given the quality of this defense, making him a potential difference-maker in fantasy finals.
This is a follow-the-franchise spot for me. We trust Payton and it’s clear that he trusts Nix. He sees a window in which this team can win at a high level and he’s pushing his chips in. This is a QB on the rise with strong supporting talent and a defense that can create short fields: for me, all of the boxes are checked and the price isn’t overwhelming.
