Updated Jordan Love Fantasy Outlook 2026: Packers QB Competitive in a Wide Open NFC

Jordan Love deserves better than to be the in case of emergency, break glass option for fantasy managers. Can he overcome a run-heavy Packers offense?

Believe it or not, it’s already his 6th season in the NFL, and Jordan Love remains one of the more intriguing pocket passers in fantasy football.

Should I Draft Jordan Love in Fantasy Football?

After exploding for 32 touchdown passes in his first year as a starter, his production has slightly tapered off, logging 25 and 23 passing touchdowns over the past two seasons. However, the efficiency is improving. Throwing only six picks last season showed some genuine NFL development, and that’s a great start toward building a safer weekly fantasy option.

We also know he isn’t afraid to take shots, as he currently leads the league in deep throw rate since taking over the starting gig in Green Bay. There is a pretty clear path to a ceiling/floor profile that matters in a meaningful way.

His surrounding cast looks noticeably different heading into 2026 with Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs both leaving town this summer.

Addition by subtraction?

Quite possibly. This suddenly condensed depth chart naturally funnels more high-value targets to Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft. Health provided, I love the sounds of that for fantasy purposes. Availability is a very real concern for those two playmakers, and if either goes down, things get tough quick for a strictly pocket-based producer like Love.

Finally, we have to acknowledge how this team wants to operate. When Josh Jacobs is active, he’s the unquestioned driver of this offense, which limits Love’s overall volume. But with Micah Parsons currently on the shelf defensively and some offensive line question marks lingering into the season, the Packers may be forced into more pass-heavy, trailing scripts than they’d prefer.

Draft Love as a boom-or-bust low-end QB1 whose ultimate ceiling relies heavily on his pass-catchers staying out of the medical tent. The early schedule is welcoming and a good first impression to 2026 could help him post a top-12 season, something that would mean significant returns on your draft day investment.

On the whole, I like where things are headed here. The concentrating of targets on strong playmakers is the right way to build and something fantasy managers should be excited about: we just need good fortune in the health department to make this work at a high level.
