Updated Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2026: Patriots RB Is a Regression Candidate

Everyone wants TreVeyon Henderson, but Rhamondre Stevenson was the more efficient, more trusted back in 2025. Is he the smarter 2026 draft pick?

This is going to continue to be a committee, but if you’re paying for 2025’s numbers with Rhamondre Stevenson, you’re setting yourself up for failure. He registered a career high with nine scores, upped his yards per carry from 3.9 to 4.6 and caught more than 30 passes for a fourth consecutive season.

Should I Draft Rhamondre Stevenson in Fantasy Football?

It’s simple logic. In the year following a draft with nice draft capital spent on an explosive TreVeyon Henderson, Stevenson was a steadying force. His receiving yardage total was more than double his mark from 2024 and after an early case of the fumbles, he was effective for a team that overachieved all season long

He was a nice story, just not a sustainable one in my opinion and if he regresses, the role is likely to follow.

His 38.5% Elusive Rating a season ago was phenomenal, though he was under 29% in each of the two previous seasons and that is more of what I’m expectating in 2026. Again: his ability to hold off Henderson last year was at least partly impacted by his productive nature and if that disappears, I think he lead role goes with it.

Henderson had just one double-digit carry game through the middle of October a year ago. I’m comfortable in betting on that changing and that means that Stevenson very much struggles to get anywhere close to his yardage total (948) or his TD total from 2025.

The asking price is similar for these two right now, but the range of outcomes isn’t and that is why I’m passing on the veteran in favor of the unproven entity, despite what we saw a year ago
