The Best QBs To Start in Fantasy Football

    Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

It’s a bit early in the year to be considering streaming options at the QB position, but Goff’s in a solid spot to be a top-12 option right out of the gate.

While the matchup isn’t great on paper going up against the Kansas City defense, the overall projected over/under (54.5 points) — plus the fact that Detroit is projected to be in a negative game script — is going to lead to plenty of pass attempts for the veteran QB.

There may be an interception or two throughout the game, but the volume should offset it. If you decided to go late-round QB in your draft, but you’re unhappy with the matchup your player has in Week 1, Goff’s a fine pivot play.

    Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts

A rookie QB in his first-ever NFL game as a solid start? Yes! While the passing production may not be pretty for the former Florida Gator QB in his first-ever NFL game, we’ve seen with players like Justin Fields last year that the rushing upside can easily offset this.

With Jonathan Taylor sidelined too, the Colts may look to put even more rush attempts on Richardson’s plate in Week 1, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him end the game with 10+ carries. If that’s the case, with his athletic ability, Richardson’s absolutely in the QB1 conversation against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
