Falcons Predicted to Draft Alabama WR Germie Bernard As ‘Solid Complementary Weapon’ for Drake London

The Atlanta Falcons are projected to draft Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard to serve as a complementary weapon for Drake London.

The Atlanta Falcons could look completely different in 2026. The signing of Tua Tagovailoa and the arrival of Kevin Stefanski could translate into a totally different team, and the NFL Draft will be important to shape the vision for the future, especially when analyzing the offense.

Why the Atlanta Falcons Are Projected to Draft a Versatile Wide Receiver in PFSN’s Latest Mock Draft

Stefanski arrived after six seasons with the Cleveland Browns, bringing a different offensive philosophy than Zac Robinson used in the past two seasons. Along with a possible change at quarterback, the list of skill players will also see new faces added.

Darnell Mooney left the team after a difficult 2025 season, and although Jahan Dotson signed in free agency, he’s likely to be a depth option working more from the slot. In his most recent mock draft, PFSN’s Jacob Infante mocked Germie Bernard from Alabama as a second-round pick for Atlanta to complement Drake London:

“With his inside-outside versatility, return experience, and consistent hands and ball skills, Germie Bernard feels like a safe bet to be a solid complementary weapon in the NFL, which the Atlanta Falcons could desperately use alongside Drake London.”

It’s worth remembering that the Falcons won’t have their first-round pick in the 2026 draft. Last year, the pick was sent to the Los Angeles Rams as part of the deal to acquire James Pearce Jr. with the 26th overall pick. Pearce is facing multiple charges regarding a domestic violence incident and might not play in 2026.

The Falcons’ original first-round pick is the 13th overall pick in the 2026 draft.

Bernard was never a superstar, but he had solid seasons with the Crimson Tide in the past two years. He amassed 1,656 yards and 9 touchdowns during the period; he also added 3 more touchdowns as a runner. He also played at Michigan State (2022) and Washington (2023) during his college career before transferring to Alabama.

The move makes sense for the Falcons, as it allows them to find someone who can operate smoothly in the middle of the field. Bernard’s skill set is different from London’s: He won’t be a receiver who’ll excel in 50/50 throws, but he’ll be effective running routes in the middle of the field.

The Falcons have many questions to answer entering 2026, notably at quarterback. Stefanski is one of the best offensive minds in the league, and Atlanta will hope that his hiring will translate into a better group than in the previous season, when it ranked No. 18 in our PFSN Offense Impact Metric, even with many stars on the roster.

But you can never have enough weapons.
