The Los Angeles Rams have set up their own version of WWE’s New World Order by swinging a box-office trade to bring Myles Garrett to the City of Angels.
The Rams seemingly decided they didn’t already have enough firepower and sent 25-year-old edge rusher Jared Verse and three draft picks, including next year’s first-rounder, to the Cleveland Browns to get the reigning Defensive Player of the Year to suit up in Rams colors and march all the way to Super Bowl 2027, which, as it happens, returns to SoFi Stadium in February.
And if that wasn’t enough, there are also some rumblings of Aaron Donald potentially coming out of retirement for one last ride on this Monstars of an LA Rams team. However, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce wasn’t super hyped to hear those rumors this week.
Jason Kelce Draws Line in the Sand Over Aaron Donald-Myles Garrett Team-Up
Jason Kelce talked all things football on this week’s edition of his ultra-popular New Heights podcast, and there were more than a few storylines to address. For a moment, it appeared the A.J. Brown trade would be the highlight of the week, until the Rams decided to go nuclear and bring Myles Garrett to town.
That move was seismic in and of itself, but add Aaron Donald to the mix, and you get the makings of a true, blue marauding unit. Jason Kelce, though, won’t stand for it.
“There’s a bunch of people talking, too, like what if AD [Aaron Donald] comes out of retirement,” Kelce noted. “What if it’s Myles Garrett and AD on the same team, on the same field? That’d be cheating. Roger [Goodell] would have to step in. If I was still playing O-line in the league, I’d start a petition. This isn’t allowed.”
NHL insider Jordan Schultz said he reached out to Donald this week to check in on the rumors of a potential blockbuster comeback. Here’s what Donald told Schultz: “I’m for sure flirting with the idea. Helluva opportunity with the Super Bowl in SoFi this year. If I can find the fire, it’s a possibility.”

And just to double-check, Pat McAfee also reached out to the Rams legend. “It for sure got me thinking. Thirty-five, removed two years ago, gotta see if that fire can light back up,” McAfee said was Donald’s response.
Rams head coach Sean McVay himself told reporters that he’s leaving the door open, in case Donald decides to make a comeback after spending two years away from the sport. “Talked to him about the opportunity to be able to bring him on board. If Aaron decides he wants to dust them off at the age of 35, I bet you he could still do it at a pretty high clip.”
As things stand, we haven’t heard directly from the man himself, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Too many things are lining up for Donald to steer clear of a potential blockbuster team-up with one of the best to ever do it.
