How Long Will Drake London Be Out For? Latest Injury Update on Falcons WR Ahead of Week 14

Drake London's absence from the Falcons offense the last two games has been impactful. What is the latest on the star receiver's potential Week 14 return?

The Atlanta Falcons will host the surging Seattle Seahawks this weekend. Raheem Morris’ team has had a disappointing 2025 campaign and is heading into this matchup as heavy underdogs.

To add injury to insult, the latest update to one of the Falcons’ most dynamic offensive players isn’t an encouraging one.

Drake London’s Status for Week 14 Just Received Another Update

Despite the inconsistency at quarterback, Drake London is on track for his second career 1,000-yard season. The 2022 first-round pick has evolved from a reliable first option to one of the best receivers in the NFL over the past few years.

With all that said, even with London’s improvement, the Falcons have taken a step back from contending in the NFC South and currently sit at 4-8 overall. As for the 24-year-old wideout, London has missed the past two games with a left knee PCL strain that he picked up in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers.

There was some optimism that London would play this weekend, and he is still considered “day-to-day” with his current injury, but the former USC standout did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter, London also wasn’t at the open portion of Thursday’s practice.

The Atlanta Falcons Are Trying To Salvage a Regular Season That Began With Promise

The Atlanta Falcons entered the 2025 season as the most formidable on-paper team outside of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South race. Michael Penix Jr. was heading into his first official year as the starting quarterback and surrounded by elite weapons like London and Pro Bowl running back Bijan Robinson.

Those projections seemed to be correct through the first six weeks of the season, as the Falcons were 3-2 and coming off a thrilling home victory over the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, London and company followed that surprising result with five straight losses and are now sitting in third place in the NFC South.

The Carolina Panthers have instead been the primary divisional threat to the Buccaneers in 2025. There’s a lot of finger-pointing to go around, but the offense is not pulling its weight, averaging just 20.3 points per game and posting a 76.3 grade (C) in PFSN’s OFFi metric.

And that is happening even with London and Robinson once again having Pro Bowl-caliber seasons.

With Penix now out for the season, 37-year-old Kirk Cousins, who has a worrisome 64.4 grade (D) and No. 35 ranking in PFSN’s QBi metric, will get another opportunity to prove himself as a starter over these next few weeks.

However, the 14-year pro will certainly be behind the proverbial eight-ball this Sunday against a Seahawks team that wields a daunting defense that ranks No. 4 and has an 88.3 grade (B+) in PFSN’s DEFi metric.

London could certainly return to the field before season’s end, but his status for Week 14 doesn’t look too optimistic at this point.
