The Carolina Panthers, led by quarterback Bryce Young, are 6-5 and face off against the San Francisco 49ers, 7-4, in a Monday Night showdown to keep their postseason chances alive. The last-minute finish to last year’s campaign made him one of the more promising adequate starters since the Cam Newton era.
Originally selected as a first-round pick, the former Alabama product positioned himself in the spotlight. Young recorded 448 passing yards on 31 completions, who is on the verge of a breakout if the team plays its cards right to punch a ticket to the wild-card. However, many may be curious about the athlete’s life off the field when he’s not throwing the football.
Bryce Young’s Dating Life Outside the Gridiron
Per PFSN, Young was seen with a mystery woman walking into training camp. She was reported to be his girlfriend during his days at the University of Alabama.
Despite public interest, Young continues to keep his Christian beliefs private. The woman’s identity was never revealed, and Young decided not to comment on the matter.
Speculation Drawn to Young in 2024
Last year, Bryce Young’s personal life drew attention when 76ers star Tyrese Maxey was seen with his ex-girlfriend, Myra Gordon, a former college basketball player at Alabama and Pepperdine, sparking rumors that they were seeing each other.
While many could speculate that her new relationship caused Young’s performance on the field to be one of his worst, the quarterback was indeed benched last season in favor of veteran Andy Dalton, who couldn’t find any rhythm in the Carolina offense either. Despite only completing 55.4% of his passes and throwing three interceptions at the beginning of the 2024 campaign, Young has changed things around for the better.
Not that it’s Young’s business, but Maxey and Gordon have reportedly split before announcing her pregnancy this year. The young quarterback remains dedicated to putting the Panthers in the winning column, but has a tough test to score with the 49ers.
Preview for Panthers vs. 49ers Week 12 Match-Up
In a crucial battle between the two, Purdy returned to the starting lineup in last week’s win over the Arizona Cardinals after being out for six weeks due to a toe injury. However, running back veteran Christian McCaffrey faces his former team for the first time since being traded. McCaffrey holds an 83.4 PFSN Impact running back score and is looking to work his magic against the Carolina defense with his uber-talented athleticism.
Meanwhile, the Panthers return for the first time in two years, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Carolina’s offense has a C- grade on the PFSN Offense Impact rankings, but this could very well be a defensive game despite the 49ers losing star Nick Bosa to a season-ending injury earlier this year.
