Tee Higgins Injury Update: Will the Bengals Star Play in Week 14?

The Bengals got a big win in Week 13 without Tee Higgins, but the team desperately needs the receiver back for the final stretch of the season.

The Cincinnati Bengals welcomed their franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, back for their Thanksgiving Day game against the Baltimore Ravens. Burrow’s return provided a spark and the Bengals picked up a convincing 18-point win over their division rival.

Even more impressive is that the team’s offense performed well despite the absence of star wide receiver Tee Higgins. Higgins was carted off the field in Week 12 after suffering a concussion and missed the Week 13 contest as a result. Let’s find out the latest on Higgins’ injury.

Will Tee Higgins Play in Week 14?

In Week 14, the Bengals will travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills. The Bengals will enter the contest with a 4-8 record, while the Bills are at 8-4. Bengals insider Mike Petraglia revealed that Higgins was in uniform for Monday’s walkthrough and was back in the locker room with his teammates. However, the receiver remains in concussion protocol for now.

Higgins cannot participate in practice until he successfully clears protocol. Being back in uniform is a good sign, though, and as long as Higgins practices later this week, he should be good to go in Week 14.

Higgins has once again been a key piece of the Bengals’ offense, and the team needs him if they’re going to make a late-season playoff push.

In 2025, Higgins has played in 11 games, catching 40 passes for 575 yards and seven touchdowns. PFSN’s WR Impact ranking gives Higgins a 76.6 grade for his performance so far in 2025.

Higgins has yet to make a Pro Bowl, but he’s been one of the best WR2s in the league. The receiver signed a massive four-year, $115 million extension with the Bengals last offseason after catching 73 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024.

Bengals Need All Hands on Deck for Stretch Run

At 4-8, PFSN’s Football Playoff Meter gives the Bengals just a 7.9% chance to make the playoffs. The team likely needs to win out and finish 9-8, but that will be tough with games against the Bills and Ravens remaining.

Burrow’s absence has really hurt. The team went just 1-8 without their franchise quarterback and now finds themselves in a huge hole. PFSN’s Offense Impact ranking gives the Bengals’ unit a 71.4 grade for the season, which ranks 22nd.

However, the Bengals could be getting healthy at the perfect time. With Burrow back at the helm, the team has a chance to win any game they play. That’s especially true when both Ja’Marr Chase and Higgins are healthy and making plays. We should know more about Higgins’ status by Thursday.
