One of the biggest storylines of this offseason was the New York Giants’ hiring of John Harbaugh as their new head coach after the Baltimore Ravens fired him following an 8-9 season. Despite the “ritzy” part of NFL free agency being over, Harbaugh says the team isn’t done adding players, despite spending $167 million this offseason.
Will John Harbaugh and the Giants Add More Free Agents?
This offseason, the Giants spent a whopping $167 million on free agent contracts, which ranks them as the eighth-highest free agent spenders this offseason. Of the $167 million, $99 million is guaranteed, and $68 million is non-guaranteed.
Yet, the Giants aren’t done with their spending spree. On the topic of free agency, Harbaugh said:
“I think we got a lot of bang for our buck. And these are all guys that are motivated, that want to be here for the right reasons, that are gonna fit our style of play… we’re not done yet.”
