It is no surprise that Wilson, a free agent, is expected to sign the league’s first supermax contract of $1.4 million to remain in Las Vegas, according to the Review-Journal. Previously, she signed a two-year, $200,000-per-year contract in 2023, which was not among the league’s highest. Now, she is set to become the first player to sign a supermax under the improved terms of the new CBA.

ESPN insider Shams Charania highlighted the landmark nature of the new CBA in relation to Wilson’s contract.
The supermax is set at $1.4 million, while the league minimum is $300,000, and the average player salary will be about $600,000. Revenue sharing will stand at 20 percent, and the team salary cap will rise to $7 million, a significant increase from the previous $1.5 million cap.
