Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a four-time NFL Most Valuable Player and widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history.
Still active, Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which includes $10 million guaranteed and could reach $19.5 million with incentives. But what is his net worth?
Breaking Down Aaron Rodgers’ Salary and Net Worth
Rodgers was selected in the first round (No. 24 overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.
Over 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers won four NFL MVP awards (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021), was selected to 10 Pro Bowls, and threw for more than 62,000 yards and over 500 touchdowns. He also guided the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory, earning Super Bowl MVP honors in the process.
According to spotrac.com, Rodgers is earning an average salary of $13.65 million in Pittsburgh, as previously mentioned. It also included $500,000 in incentives and carried a total cap hit of $14.15 million.
As of the deal he signed with the Steelers, the veteran quarterback has signed seven contracts. Unless otherwise indicated, the contracts are with the Packers.
- Rookie: Five years, $7.7 million
- 2009 Extension: Six years, $63.52 million
- 2013 Extension: Five years, $110 million
- 2018 Extension: Four years, $134 million
- 2022 Extension: Three years, $150.81 million
- 2023 Contract with Jets: Three years, $112.5 million
- 2025 (Current) Contract with Steelers: One year, $13.65 million
Rodgers, now 41, is estimated to have a net worth of around $300 million. He has earned roughly $250 million from NFL salaries alone, with at least $100 million coming from endorsements.
His endorsement portfolio includes brands like Adidas, Fanatics, Pizza Hut, Sharpie, and State Farm. Rodgers is also a minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, making him the only NFL player with a stake in an NBA franchise.
Beyond football, he co-founded Rx3 Ventures, a venture capital firm, and the Online Sports Database (OSDB), which functions like IMDb for athletes. He has additionally been active in tech startups and real estate ventures.
His net worth is reportedly among the top 10 highest of all time among NFL players. With Rodgers having a two-decade-long career, he played through many eras of the NFL. Unfortunately, he’s already past his prime, but he has still made a considerable amount of money.
Rodgers’ Fantasy Outlook Week 10
Here’s what PFSN’s Kyle Soppe wrote on Rodgers’ fantasy outlook for the Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers:
Sunday was the perfect example of why you can’t trust Aaron Rodgers in fantasy this year. He played well. He didn’t turn the ball over, managed the clock, and led his team to an upset win over the Colts.
He threw for 203 yards and one score, averaging just 8.1 yards per completion. The Steelers have been far more competitive than anyone thought, and without the benefit of a crazy game script, this offense isn’t designed for Rodgers to provide us with gaudy stat lines.
It’s designed for him to do exactly what he did against Indianapolis. The future Hall of Famer threw 35 passes, and not one of them resulted in a 20-yard gain. With little splash play potential and even less rushing upside, everything needs to be perfect for Rodgers to be on the fringe of QB1 production.
That’s not a range of outcomes that interests me in any matchup, let alone against a defense that has allowed under 4.5 yards per play over its past two games.
