Top 4 Landing Spots for A.J. Brown: Where Might the Star Receiver Land in the Offseason?

It’s not a stretch to say that the Philadelphia Eagles are having a successful season. The team currently holds the No. 1 seed in the NFC with its 7-2 record, and it is also coming off a gritty 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. Despite the success, star receiver A.J. Brown still remains unhappy.

This isn’t the first time Brown has voiced his frustrations with his offensive production during his time with the Eagles. This time, his latest comments were voiced after the win against the Packers on a Twitch stream. “If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me,” Brown said in a stream with streamer JankyRondo.

Since the trade deadline has passed, Brown’s only way out, should he want one, would be through a trade during the offseason. So, which teams would give Brown the targets he so desires?

Where Could A.J. Brown End Up in the Offseason?

    New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have experienced an offensive resurgence this season, thanks in part to quarterback Drake Maye. However, Stefon Diggs currently sits in the WR1 position for this season after signing a three-year contract this past offseason. Diggs has also been impressive with a PFSN WR Impact score of 86.0, a B grade, which ranks eighth in the entire league.

A.J. Brown, on the other hand, has only a C-grade impact, which helps explain his complaints. This season could be an anomaly for Brown, however, as he graded out to an A- in 2024.

Furthermore, Diggs is 31 years old, three years older than the 28-year-old Brown, so it’s uncertain how much longer Diggs can make a real impact. A reunion could also be in store, as Brown played for Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel when the two were members of the Tennessee Titans.

    Baltimore Ravens

After starting the season 1-5, the Baltimore Ravens now find themselves with a 4-5 record and in the hunt for a playoff spot. Regardless of whether they sneak into the postseason, they’ll need to figure out what to do with their top receiver, Zay Flowers.

While Flowers is under his rookie contract for at least one more season, with a club option for the 2026-27 year, Brown is under contract until the 2029 season. Although he comes with a hefty price tag, if the Ravens cannot get a long-term deal done with Flowers, they could pivot to a trade for Brown.

The Ravens also badly need help outside of Flowers. He’s easily their No. 1 receiver, with a PFSN Impact score of 85.5, but the team doesn’t have much depth behind him. Their next best option is Rashod Bateman, who has a score of 63.1, or a D grade.

    Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have taken a big jump with second-year head coach Dave Canales. The team sports a 5-5 record and remains in the hunt for a playoff spot. If they want to take an even bigger leap forward, acquiring a player like Brown could be in the cards.

The Panthers have a very young receiving core, with rookie Tetairoa McMillan having the best season so far. Brown would easily slot into the WR1 role and provide a veteran presence for a receiving group as young as Carolina’s.

    Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have been plagued by drops this season, ranking second in the league in this category. While this issue isn’t guaranteed to continue into next season, the team would be smart to try to prevent it from happening again.

Notably, Brown hasn’t had a single drop through these last two seasons, which would be a significant improvement over the Broncos’ current situation. Denver’s receivers have also been underwhelming this season. The team’s top receivers, Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin, both have C impact grades.

As for Brown’s $23.4 million cap hit next season, that doesn’t present an obstacle. The Broncos have the 11th-most cap space in the league for the 2026 offseason and do not have many in-house free agents to re-sign.
