On Thursday, the Golden State Valkyries breezed past Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. With an 88-77 win, the Valkyries dominated at home in Chase Center as Clark struggled to shoot.
She scored 11 points and shot 3-of-14 from the field and 0-of-7 from the three-point line.
Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski was cheering from the sidelines, going viral for hilariously trolling Clark.
Brandin Podziemski Taunts Caitlin Clark as Indiana Fever Star Struggles to Shoot
Podziemski, a standard fixture at Valkyries games, was vocal about his take on Clark’s shooting. On his feet and cheering for Golden State, Podziemski didn’t hold back as Clark walked back after being called for a travel violation. Imitating a gesture, the 22-year-old followed Clark for a bit as she smiled in response.
He even called out the Fever star on X.

“No good. We goin the other way with it. Love my Valkyries,” Podziemski wrote.
Fans were quick to hype and share the Warriors player’s reaction. Many appreciated his constant support for the Valkyries, especially as they bagged a big win vs. the Fever.
While disappointed about their loss, Clark appreciated Chase Center, Bay Area fans, and icon Stephen Curry.
Clark Admitted To Idolizing Stephen Curry and His Game
Before the game started, Clark spoke to the media about Curry and the game’s meaning to her. An impressive shooter herself, Clark agreed that the four-time NBA Champion has revolutionized the NBA, making him one of her idols.
“He’s one of the greatest basketball players of all time…he’s changed the way basketball is being played. Maybe at times, me and him, both like, kids shouldn’t always just go and chuck a bunch of threes, but that’s what makes the game so exciting,” Clark said.

She also spoke highly of Chase Center postgame:
“I thought it was great. The crowd was into it. They were loud. Yeah, you gotta give them a lot of credit. A really fun place to play, so, I’m certainly looking to coming back as well.”
Still in her sophomore year, plenty of fans are already hailing Clark as their GOAT. A large part of this is owed to her shooting, as she holds the all-time WNBA record for most three-pointers by a rookie (122).
Although the Fever’s loss was disappointing, they can surely hope for a resurgence as they prepare to face the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday.
