As the 2025 WNBA Finals approach, here's a complete schedule for the highly anticipated seven-game Aces-Mercury series.

It’s official. The Phoenix Mercury and Las Vegas Aces are set to square off in the 2025 WNBA Finals. While the Aces faced a wounded Indiana Fever, the Mercury pulled off an upset against the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx.

The Aces battled a Caitlin Clark-less Fever in the semifinals, and A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young combined for 67 points to secure a 107-98 OT win. The Mercury, led by Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally, advanced to the finals with a dominant 3-1 semifinals win.

The WNBA Finals will commence on Friday, Oct. 3, with the Aces (the No. 2 seed) having homecourt advantage. Now, while Wilson fans have the MVP down as the favorite to win it all this season, the Mercury continue to emerge as underdogs.

If Phoenix wins, it’ll be their first title since 2014. The Aces, however, would win their third title in four years.

Where to Watch Mercury-Aces WNBA Finals?

The WNBA Finals series will be available for broadcast on ESPN and ABC. The game, however, will be available on ESPN2. The coverage crew will be as follows:

  • Rebecca Lobbo, color analyst.

Can the Mercury Hold Out Against A’ja Wilson-Led Aces?

Few people believed the Mercury could reach the finals when the WNBA playoffs began. But the team prevailed, heading back to the main stage to try and lock in the elusive WNBA title.

Phoenix breezed past the defending champions, the New York Liberty, in Round 1, keeping their cool as they faced the Lynx.

The Aces, of course, have had a slightly easier route. Though the Fever tried to push through, Wilson’s squad remained dominant on the court. After moving to Vegas from San Antonio in 2017, this will be their fourth WNBA finals appearance. They have won twice–in 2022 and 2023.

Wilson, who also won the 2025 WNBA MVP award, can bag a title win and the Finals MVP honor. And while the Mercury have reached the finals series, the Aces remain favorites to win another title.
