‘Her Impact Is Unreal’ — WNBA World Reacts to Caitlin Clark Increasing Fever’s Valuation by $470 Million

The Indiana Fever's valuation has jumped from $90M to $560M since drafting Caitlin Clark in 2024, a $470M rise that ranks them third in the WNBA.

The Indiana Fever’s numbers right now are almost hard to believe. Two years ago, the franchise was worth $90 million and largely an afterthought in the WNBA’s financial landscape.

That was before the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft walked through the door and changed everything about what this organization looks like to the outside world.

Caitlin Clark Makes Massive Impact on Fever’s Overall Valuation

According to Sportico, the Indiana Fever are now valued at $560 million, up from $90 million in 2024 and $370 million in 2025. That is a $470 million increase in just two years, driven almost entirely by storm that followed Clark’s arrival in Indianapolis.

The Fever rank third in the league behind the Golden State Valkyries at $850 million and the New York Liberty at $600 million, after sitting sixth in the overall standings just two years ago.

What makes the valuation climb even more remarkable is that it held steady and grew through what was a genuinely difficult 2025 season for the franchise. Clark played just 13 games due to a series of injuries, yet Indiana still increased merchandise sales by 60 percent year over year.

Here’s what the WNBA world had to say about Clark’s impact on the Fever’s valuation:

NBA analyst Evan Sidery wrote, “The Indiana Fever’s franchise valuation has risen $470 million since drafting Caitlin Clark 2024: $90 million 2025: $370 million 2026: $560 million Indiana is building a state-of-the-art practice facility separate from the Pacers that will be finished in 2027.”

Legion Hoops, a popular basketball account, posted, “Her impact is unreal.”

Hana Hoops, another basketball fan who often delivers her opinions on X, said, “Um do y’all realize how crazy this is ???”

Clark Report, who deliver the latest updates on the superstar, wrote on the same platform, “The Indiana Fever’s valuation is now more than 6x what it was when they drafted Caitlin Clark in 2024,” along with a mind-blown emoji.

The team hosted the 2025 All-Star Game, which brought a significant boost, and their merchandise spending per fan per game reached approximately $8, a figure that would rank near the top of NBA franchises. The Fever ranked second in the entire league in revenue for 2026, generating $52.6 million, trailing only the Valkyries.

The off-court investment from the organization is matching the on-court ambition. Indiana is currently building a state-of-the-art practice facility entirely separate from the Indiana Pacers, set to be completed in 2027.

Clark herself is set to earn $528,846 this season under the new collective bargaining agreement, a massive jump from earlier in her career but still a number that barely scratches the surface of her actual market value.

Sportico estimated her total 2026 earnings at $16.1 million, with the overwhelming majority coming from her endorsement portfolio that includes Nike, Wilson, Gatorade, State Farm, Gainbridge, Xfinity, and Goldman Sachs, among others.

Her first signature Nike shoe is also set to release this year, adding yet another commercial layer to a brand that continues to expand in every direction.
