Caitlin Clark has made it clear that she is a Taylor Swift superfan, attending back-to-back performances of The Eras Tour when Swift performed in Indianapolis back in November 2024 and receiving a gift box from the pop superstar.
She even wore a custom Eras-Tour-inspired pair of Nike Kobe 6 Protros recently, stating, “I’m a big fan of Taylor and The Eras Tour was the best concert of all time… I thought they were pretty fun.” She has also gotten to know Swift in recent years, sitting with her at multiple Kansas City Chiefs games.
Well, as Clark begins to tease the release of her first-ever signature shoe with Nike, it appears the Indiana Fever superstar is taking a page out of her favorite artist’s book: dropping Easter eggs about her sneaker’s launch date to reward eagle-eyed fans.
Did Caitlin Clark Just Reveal the Launch Date of Her Nike Signature Shoe?
While walking into the arena prior to Tuesday’s game between the Fever and Toronto Tempo, Clark was photographed wearing several friendship bracelets. One said “CAITLIN1” and the other said “10-01-26.” In other words, she seems to be announcing that her Caitlin1 signature shoes will hit stores on Oct. 1, 2026. (By the way, it’s a tradition for Swifties to swap friendship bracelets at her concerts, so there’s another Swift tie-in).

In a pregame video with the Fever’s social-media team, Clark made sure to point out her “custom friendship bracelets” while showing off her pregame fit, so she wanted to ensure that fans spotted these clues.
This comes after Clark recently started the rollout for her signature sneaker by changing her name on Instagram to caitlin1 and making her profile photo a close-up of the shoe’s blue material. There have been rumors that Clark’s sneaker would either drop on September 29 or October 1, so the Fever star seems to be clearing up any confusion.
In August 2025, Nike announced that Clark would be the brand’s latest signature athlete and unveiled her logo. Then, in October 2025, Nike released a signature apparel collection featuring her logo. Clark has been wearing Nike player-exclusive Kobe sneakers this season with the Fever (including the aforementioned Eras-Tour PEs as a tribute to Swift), but her signature shoe has been highly anticipated for quite some time.
Clark has been one of the best players in the WNBA this season, averaging 20.3 points, 7.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 3-pointers, and 0.8 steals per game. She remains the WNBA’s most popular player and the face of the league.
The Fever are currently 8-5, which is the third-best record in the Eastern Conference behind only the New York Liberty (10-4) and Atlanta Dream (9-4). The 7-7 Tempo are right behind the Fever in the East standings.
After Clark and Fever head coach Stephanie White made headlines for their heated sideline exchange earlier in the season, Indiana has found its groove and won three straight games.
